i was merely pointing out, as you said it was balanced- that instead 2 rooms of hype, they could have had some of the 130 stuff or other sounds of the dubstep universe covered in the 3rd room atleast.

and it isnt just a standard night is it, its an awards show for dubstep last time i checked.

Wait... i thought everyone had already come to the conclusion that the awards show premise was waste and that it was just gonna be a mainstream show?

If you're actually trying to give it validity and put the awards show on a pedastool thereby expecting the show to have some validity then you're on an island by yourself.

You seem like a really nice guy.

imho this thing is looking less and less important... isn't looking awful.. they're having a night and turning over a lot of revenue, putting folks to work.. isn't looking good either -- it's like the bastard child frankenstein of club nights. It doesn't seem to know its place, trying to please everyone never works. The awards aspect seems a trite and arbitrary excuse for having such a bastardized frankenstein rave and turn a lot of revenue. afaik no one in the scene was gearing up at the beginning of the year in hopes of claiming a dubstep music award. its just plain insignificant. I would ignore it and keep supporting the scenes you enjoy. As i'm sure y'all already know and do.

sorry, by all means go to dubstep shows looking for problems, and be sure and take notes so you can come to DSF and complain about artists as everyone here is insanely interested in what is wrong with dubstep, who sucks, and what a shitty time you're having.

If you remember, which clearly you don't, I did message you over facebook, granted not one of the better ways to reach out to you. However, you bluntly pointed out you didn't like the awards etc. I then left you be..

I never stated on the post that you had been asked to play.. I didn't enquire about a booking due to your negative attitude towards the awards. I stated that on the post. I also stated that I knew OF you not that I knew you personally. I try to stay away from negative influences. the thing i dont get is why room 1 which is supposed to be the main room where the actual awards are held is full of brostep.
