Yeah, mobthrow has a full length on ad noiseam, real breakstep stuff as well as the aforementioned sound, pretty fucking good to be honest.

I didn't mention the album as I didn't really enjoy it when I got it... but then again, only played it twice maybe.

Am I that negative?

Atm I'm all about dnb, just not skullstep/crossbreed.

 it's just that in this thread i'll post something and be like "i like this, what do you think" and you'll be like "nah". I'm just messing really :P

I really don't know enough about dnb apart from some jungle and the "skullstep", therapy and crossbreed stuff we post on this thread, but i heard a few fracture and dub phizix pieces recently i've been feeling and rinsing, just sort of overwhelming getting into something with so much content. Essential albums and EPs for the darker stuff?

Amit's stuff is always dark. He's got too albums out, both on Commercial Suicide: Never Ending (2006) and 9 Times (2011). He's had two releases on Exit earlier this year, and a forthcoming one on Metalheadz. And it's all over the place halfstep dnb, dubstep, electro.

What do you mean by "darker stuff" though?

Ah cool, will check them out, Amit gets talked about here on DSF a bit so i've heard a few bits and pieces already... and by darker i mean, like not that gay liquid shit ya feel me? Neuro stuff, minimal stuff with throbbing subs and clicky drums...

Well, there's the obvious "classics" like the Source Direct, Dom & Roland, Ed Rush & Optical, Technical Itch albums, Torque comp on No U-Turn.
Dunno if you listened to older Current Value (his first 4 albums), though I wouldn't call them essential.

As for newer stuff:
Data - Selected Visualizations [Horizons]
Ink - Last Scroll [Renegade Hardware]
Genotype - Ritual Dance [Exit]
Loxy & Resound - Burning Shadows [Exit]
Consequence - Live For Never [Exit]
Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch - Lost All Faith [Defcom]
Phace & Misanthrop - From Deep Space [Neosignal]
Silent Dust self-titled [None60]
Icicle - Under The Ice [Shogun Audio]
City Of Light comp [Crunch]

also Synth Sense - Tomorrow's World [Auxiliary] though it's not dnb; more like ambient built on a dnb blueprint.

These are all albums/comp as tunes are too many to mention.

Not sure if c8.com was mentioned before (16 pages were just too much for me), but here you can get loads of stuff for free (submitted by the labels and artists themselves, including most of the classics by DJ Scud and others): http://c8.com/c8/tunes/view.php?d=10&l= ... &ac=Search

The site and the forum were kind of abandoned the last few years but nevertheless it is a good starting point for breakcore/noise/other: http://c8.com/

I saw VSnares last night with FFF. It was dope, but mostly new shit. He didn't really get hard until the end and then closing with 'Meta Abuse' from the record with Speedranch.
