Like right now, shes coming home from Uni; I have tidied up and have prepared dinner for tonight - started a little something on fruity which has been on loop for the last 30-40 minutes while I prepared/cleaned.

I'll meet her from the station; probably watch some Twin Peaks - have dinner, watch another episode or something then when it hits about 9pm. I'll put my headphones on and crack on till about 11 and then spend time as shes getting ready for sleep - if I ain't tired i'll go back on the computer when shes asleep.

Haven't had one disagreement or arguement about me making music or DJing... If she asks me to not go make music one night; i'll just save up my ideas till the wee-hours (I don't do much sleeping these days..) when I wake up and do it then.. I haven't made more music than I have recently!

Without judging anyone - i think if I was with anyone else (someone who I didn't actually want to be with and just settled) it wouldn't be like that! If you're having problems its probably a choice of partners and lets be honest its not hard finding someone to get your kicks. Commitment to someone should be a natural thing, meaning you'll support their hobbies and interests and they'll support yours..

Not going to lie; I don't exactly enjoy going to fashion events (pop up shop openings/new season launches, etc, etc) but I do it cause its what you do innit.

Juggling your own interests and someone elses isn't hard if you respect/care for the person.

Just me 2 sappy cents.
twin peaks - best tv ever made, if your misses can watch that with you you're off fine man, just prepare for when the time does come when she starts moaning about your music and you start moaning about her fashion shows, whats natural is you getting through that and seeing that happen as natural.

well said Phase Down.
It`s an inevitable part of emotional growth as well as relationship growth.

I've lived with my girlfriend for over a year now and it is SO hard to get anything done. It seems like she only wants to cuddle when I'm trying to make beats (although that is most definitely an exaggeration). I'm going to be converting my bedroom from storage to a studio in the next few days so I'm finally going to be able to make beats for extended periods of time again!

Right now my girl's bunking with me while she's waiting to get an apartment of her own. Quite a small flat, but we get along. When I'm on the decks she just shoves some earplugs in and reads a book. When we get tired of each other I just send her off to her cousin's place.

Still, my production is entirely sapped - not due to intolerance, but just being distracted 24/7. The amount of time spent just chatting about shit and lounging about doing nothing with the girl you love is actually unbelievable when I look back at it.

Shes the one who got me into it, turned me into a proper David Lynch fan (his new albums amazing btw!) :O!

On to what you said...

She knows on a Wednesday; I go out to my mates and do my radio show.. When my other friend is off tour I go to my groups favourite pub and spin at the -anything goes- night him and his band mate run. Any other time its fair game for what she wants to do cause the way I see it.. My plans are solid; each and every week so if she wants to drag me out somewhere every 5-6 Fridays thats a worthy sacrifice haha!

Still; at least you're doing things what makes you happy! If I ain't loaded up my DAW in 2-3 days because me and the mrs are getting on super well and been talking lots and spending loads of time with each other.. That good mood will translate to productivity on your DAW!

been living with my gf for about almost 3 years now and haven't had any real issues or anything, she supports it completely but doesn't really like the idea of me playing out which kind of sucks but I figure later on she'll probably change her viewpoints and I could understand her point of view but meh...

I try to get most my productions in while shes working or busy reading or what not, but other than that she gives me plenty of time to do my thing so it's all gooooood!

David Lynch is a real pro, has she shown you twin peaks fire walk with me the movie? It connects to the series and it is absolutely crazy, hint hint some samples in my sig track are actually from that movie, u stick with her, she seems like a good one. :Q:

I was just saying moaning at each other after being together a long time is natural so don't worry about it either way.

I posted on here a long time ago about how women and producing don't blend. Well, at the time I was correct but I recently met a chick that loves dubstep / dnb. All of a sudden life makes sense.

There's a girl in one of my classes who produces dance music and is a singer featured on some of the label Armada's songs... Needless to say the moment I learned this I fell in love.

Now she's singing on one of my next songs... life makes sense to me too.
