got my rig up and running...apart from my graphics card which hasn't came in the post yet. Currently sorting out which files and programs I'm gonna be using on the SSD, can't wait for the card to come so I can try out some games. My jaw dropped when I installed the SSD and the PC went from me booting it up to having the desktop ready to go in about 4/5 seconds.

Honestly I have no idea, it depends on the architecture of the hardware more than anything. It will certainly help with general load times and so on.

Mars: War Logs - Been meaning to pick this one up for awhile and snagged it on sale. You can tell it's not from a AAA studio with a lack of consistency when it comes to some of the NPC models and textures, some of the writing and voice acting is dodgy as well, but haven't enjoyed a RPG this much since Game of Thrones RPG.
Setting is akin to Riddick/Mars, has branching choices and dialogue trees, and combat like The Witcher 2 as a best comparison.
Game is on the short side, but has some replay value due to the skill tree and story choices.
I'd say snag it if you're a RPG fan, especially if you're sick of the same old boring fantasy setting and tropes.

I've been thinking about getting an SSD for my PS3 to see if it will make any difference with some texture/object pop-in I've been noticing lately in a few of my games (especially in those that rely heavily on hard drive installs). I plan on getting a PS4 when its released though so I'll be paying quite a bit of money for only a couple of months use before I get a new console.
SSDs have no impact on video game performance. Whenever you play a game all the required program info on your hard drive (including textures/objects) gets moved to RAM. The hard drive is never really accessed except during loading screens.
So, unless you intend to shorten loading screens on your ps3, my advice is save your money.

Any ninjas play Garry's Mod? Easy way to get a kick out of other people's rage.
I play Basewars, kinda complex where the one with the most money and best base wins. Raiding other bases however, requires you to have your own base, complete with a radar tower to scan other players "money printers" to start a raid. Since I first started playing, I only made one "legal" raid, and still managed to make more than 1 billion with a ton of "illegal" raids.
Recently, I've been bombing other people's bases with tons of C4 and getting massive profits out of it.

^ Yeah stgggs is probably the best griefer of TTT and jailbreak.
The stuff i do, however, is just straight plain rule-breaking. I just got kicked from basewars by bombing his base after sneaking in (like a ninja) and bombing his printers
He got mad tho After that he kicked me.

Okay I need your help guys. On my GTA III game (PC) under the stats sub menu it only shows my criminal rating. I need to see my completion percentage and a bunch of other statistics. Any ideas on how to fix this?
*For the record I've already tried looking on the internet and couldn't find anything.

I've been waiting for my replacement graphics card to arrive so I've been playing on a lower spec card.
Decided to fire up a couple older games.
Once again loving the hell out of Half-Life Black Mesa & Half-Life 2.
Also playing some Saint's Row iv, good fun being a super hero and flying around.

This might be the case for consoles, it absolutely, definitely is not the case for PC games however.

I'm having another go at the original System Shock. IMO it surpasses a lot of modern games in terms of design and playability, plus it's pretty scary for a game of its age.

^ I had the boxed version but I misplaced it years ago. I bought it off GOG recently and It's as good as I remember. I prefer the original overall, something about the svga graphics brings a sense of nostalgia.

Yea I need to replay the original. Such a better series than Bioshock.

I guess a better answer would have been, depends. If the game streams textures from your hard drive like world of warcraft or modified skyrim then you can have less initial stutter. But for most other genres like shooters and rts games that stuff is loaded on to RAM before the game starts.
Either way if you are looking for pure game performance you should be looking at a faster gpu instead of a faster storage medium. Overall system speed on the other hand is a different story.

It's meant to be coming today in the post but no time has been given so I'm just sitting here bored out my brain in my dressing gown cos I'm too scared too even jump in the shower in case I miss it.
