I like the cold (like 50deg f here), but I can't stand the short days, shit light.

It's a double edged sword with the mindstate in winter. Like you say it takes a lot more to get your ass in gear in my experience. I end up wasting whole days looking at DSF and shit. In the summer I can more spontaneously just go into town or go swimming or whatever if there's nothing to do. But on the other hand there's a certain mental peace with winter too, that I end up missing in the summer when I can't get my mind to sit still so to speak.
