you might want to check the dictionary definition of unique then.

Unique literally means one of a kind, how can there be varying degrees of one of a kind

Let's say you have ten people, nine are 6 feet tall, one is is 6 feet and an inch. The 6' 1" guy is unique

Now let's say we have another group, nine 6' tall, and one 7' tall. I don't think it's incorrect to say that the 7' guy is more unique than the 6' 1" guy. He deviates further from the norm, he is more unlike than the 6' 1" guy, and therefore more unique

Anyways I don't really care either way, just wanted to point out its not as black and white as you think, and certainly not worth getting buttmad over
