Cheers mate, was a lot of fun to make :)

On your tune - remove the reverb from those kicks - when it gets into full effect it's actually rather disorienting. Loving that acid bassline, been wanting to do a track that utilizes one. hehe. General use of panning is quite nice. Like that siwtch up around 2.15. Really nice change of pace without losing the vibe. Those kicks are nice, but I can't help but feel that a little less release would do them rather well and give it a bit more punch. This would however, have the side effect of making the track sound more techy. Up to you :)

@narrator: thats just awesome. not gonna comment on production values without better speakers, but shit man. really like it

@tiger blood: pretty nice. The drums sound a little too forefront and clean to my ear, esp the kick. my 2p, choose different kick, add some reverb to the snare, and maybe add a 2nd pad and/or some sub to fill things out, it's a little sparse. like where its going though, the conga-type lick is nice addition

@dourgrilley: godfather lol. very sinister intro, good stuff. agree with the above comment about the bass tho, also the bass doesnt quite gel somehow. the drop could do with a little tweaking, wish i could be more help here but im not sure

EDIT: just wanted to say im feeling malibuncokis tune. very nice

well aware this is a little bit gash.. esp some of the sound choices etc. but on the bright side its only 47 seconds long

@malabuandcoki - i really like it and all, but you should really make it less muddy and more clear sounding , that would be dope, nice track tho, nice jungle vibe haha.
@amphibian - that definately could have made the shambhala 08 mix :P im REALLY digging the low end soul of the track, with those growls heard faintly hear and there. nice over all sound man, 8.5/10 :D
@bars_marr - nice congo drums, but there are some sounds in the percussion that i for some reason feel shouldnt be there.... not sure what tho.. aside from that , nice track idea .

Heres my new track i got goin guys, i need some tips before i go master it !

@Specimen-Yarp - Interesting sound to the percussion. Maybe the sub bass could be turned up a notch. Also I notice the synth gets quieter the longer it's present, I'm not sure if this is intended. Take a look at the wave form.

@bars_marr - Very minimal, I'm not sure which direction it's going as of yet though. Be careful with the reverb. I think a bit more to fill the spectrum would sound nice.

@malabuandcoki - The mix/eq lacks, its very muddy. I'm sure it'll sound sweet once done properly. Good luck.

This is one I literally just began; I'm messing around with Massive and trying to make a quality house beat. It's a bit tossed about but is this idea something you'd like to hear be worked on?

Jk. I quite liked it. There’s no ‘stepping’ going on though. The drums are way lost under there. It needs a healthy mixdown. If it were my track, I’d take the main synth you have going and sort of fade it in and out, get some motion on it and weave it in and out and let the drums smash it.
haha thanks. Yah I agree on that, there isnt much swing going on there of start/stop rythm and it would make it a lot more dynamic and interesting. As for the mixdown im having trouble with the bass sub phasing in and out as well as just general equing and compression. Thanks for ur feedback.

Anything else i try and chuck in just makes it feel wrong.
All you masters of the tribal/no kick style, gimme some production tips/point me to a thread.

Edit: i might take away the chipsound, it kinda ruins the vibe of the song

^^^ MY SUBMISSION - REMIX OF PROFESSOR GREEN TRACK MONSTER ^^^

I feel my bass(es) need a touch more grit and just a bit more fullness... any ideas?

Love the drop. The kicks before the drop are way too loud though. After the drop the bassline is a little repetitive.. maybe bring in a second bass sound to chop between.

@malabuandoki
Dope vibes here.. really really different

@mikeyp
I agree.. that intro is beaut. Maybe the delay / reverb is a tad overwhelming at times. Needs a slight volume change at the drop and give the kick a little more space so it punches through a little. Love the deep bass though.

@Danimal
Holdshit that intro is bright as well.. and that drop.. holy fuck yes. I want a 320 of that please sir!

@Swaggr
I really like your track in general the only thing i would add is some drums variation and maybe clean those synths a little i feel this track would be way better with cleaner synths!

@Trainrek
Your drums feel great might need some eq'ing. Like you said you should try going for something more organic as far as your synths lead etc! keep up the good work im feeling that type of music!

@Voodeedoo
That's a good start for a good beat just like others said add other variations of synths to make things a little more interesting def work on it!

here's my tune tell me what y'all think about it :i:

@ Globalz: Nice buildup, great concept and sounds! I'd bring out the kick and the snare more though. ;)

@ Burgeamon: Sounds really cool. The little gaps between the heavy basses really stand out and make it feel special. They do need to sound a bit fuller though.

@ Specimen-Yarp: Incredible, I have absolutely nothing wrong with it, great sounds, great drums. Really nice!

Well, here's mine. It's still a really rough sketch, the intro isn't finished at all, the drop is just at it's beginning and nothing is fleshed out. Tell me what you think:

Thanks for the listen :)

I like the sound of my basses but they need more thickness to them. I was thinking of creating 3 channels for low/mid/high and processing the mids with some saturation and maybe some sausage fattener and distorting / chorus / delay the high channel, then sending part of the signal from each bass to them.. would this achieve the sort of thing I am looking for.

So far there is no compression / limiting on the master or any of the basses so that'll help too.

Just had a listen to your next WIP as well and really like the sounds. You've built a nice and nasty melody with those bass sounds and once you get some of the meat into those sounds and flesh it out a little more I think It'll sound great!

Yes, saturation, distortion, compression and chorus will help alot in fattening it up.

also giving it a 50/50 fast delay (5-10ms) gives it anice effect.

Sweet! I'm def all over this when I get home.

One more question tho.. would it be better to create a couple of sends to place these effects of then feed signal from each bass to them or would it be better to just resample each bass channel individually?
