My girl did the food shop on her own this week... delivered last night and I now have a fridge full of massive vegetables that I have no idea what to do with. Leeks I can just about deal with at short notice... Butternut squash I can work something out for, but Beets? Fuck outta here. Beets. What the fuck am I going to do with Beets in the middle of the week? And this lone Bok Choi amongst nothing else even remotely asian looking? Thanks. Ok.

She also bought a huge bottle of Pineapple and Coconut juice, 4 avodacos and an aubergine, but no bread or milk.

I'm never letting her onto the Ocado website alone again.

holy fuck my mind cant even begin to fathom how beat matching works. With Traktor its visualised and once you hit it with right pitch adjustment it sounds "right", but by ear Its beyond me and just sounds a mess.
Stood in front of my decks for like two hours just trying to beatmatch a few combinations and I think i got it like once? but totally out of phase.

I know its all practise but still!

yeah i wish i had learnt to beatmatch straight off, instead i just stared at serato for the first year thinking ahh i can learn to beatmatch later. Another year later i can finally do it, still not perfectly tho lol

yeah dude just stop using traktor till u can do it

its really easy once u get it

its just gotta click

if u did up to an hour a night youd get it in a week or two

what do you use johnlenham? cos for ages i was learning on a mixtrack pro with little success but after about 3 goes on my m8s cdjs i got much better.

I was on a mixtrack for a long time, just fucking around. Then a friend got an S2 and have used that on and off for a year or so, just whenever I was over and I borrowed it for a month when I moved out, but that is pick one track> play, find another withing 5% and pref + or _ 3 keys and then pitch it to the bpm of the track playing and go from there, not to mention the phase meter that drifts if your off.
I had belt driven decks that were bloody awful and yesterday I just said fuck this and bought a set of Technics.

Now its very much all the gear and no idea Its just absurd the chasm between pure ear and visualisation.

i think i´m going to start saving money to get two technics, but i also want to play digital tunes, with serato you can play then with those faux plates right? what is the cost of serato?

Its like £250 or so, not to mention you need decks to put em on

I need some real 4x4 bangers to get this shit I swear, my collection is all over the place. I feel like Kaiju- Hunter + something shoudl be my base "learn to beatmatch mix"
