i would have loved to keep my long hair if it wasn't such a pain to upkeep

just fancy having straight hair for a while. having wrestled with the not having straight hair thing for some years, am cool with my curly hair now - last got it straightened properly nearly 3 years ago - but you can't do much with it. the big lions mane is pretty much the limit.

definitely don't want to do the beyonce/alicia keys thing of having "black" hairstyles when younger and gradually straightening and lightening up as they get older as if black can't be sophisticated. always gonna come back to curls, yo
