Italian producer My Dry Wet Mess, aka Giovanni Civitenga, is a name that has resonated in the world of left field/beats since it's exciting fledgling years. Though his father is the bass player for Ennio Morricone’s orchestra and a studio guitarist on numerous Italian records, from a young age Gio was drawn towards hip hop. Having released albums on Daedleus' Magical Properties and Flying Lotus' Brainfeeder, Fine Grains present his debut vinyl release - 'Laptop Lapdance'. Circle, the first release on new dance imprint Cognitive Music, is a deep, vocal driven breakbeat track by up and coming producer Dave Gluskin. The original track blends deep melodic elements with textured vocals and driving breakbeats, building to a blissful gated vocal pleading to her lover for inclusion, begging to find a way to break into their circle. The lush pads and beautiful chord progression, coupled with Dave’s signature vocal work, help to convey the deep desire that is ever present in the vocal and give the track both heartfelt depth and dance floor sensibility, with a driving bassline and aggressive breakbeat constantly pushing the track forward. A rhodes organ and orchestral elements add to the drama of the track, while giving it a bit of an organic feel.

Circle (The House Remixes) is the second release on new dance imprint Cognitive Music, with producers Nology and Rob More taking the deep, vocal driven breakbeat track by Dave Gluskin in a completely different direction. Nology’s remix takes the release from the club to the festival, transforming the song into a massive progressive EDM track. He adds a pounding big room beat and big, beautiful melody to the vocal that pushes the intensity level way up while capturing the feeling of those huge outdoor events. Miami-based Rob More also brings us a four on the floor version, blending underground sensibility with a bit of EDM in delivering a solid dance floor filler that will fit in any upbeat progressive house set.

Astounding Science Fiction is Chili Banks' 3rd full length LP concept album. Since the inception of Junglist Manifesto Recordings in 2009. The album is a concept album based on old time radio science fiction stories from the 40's and 50's. The stories first appeared in pulp magazines of the same era written by some huge names in sci-fi as well as some obscure ones. The tracks are audio vignettes, they are stand alone stories from a time when the world and universe was a less discovered place. Science fiction samples are mixed with organic drum sounds, sub basses, and a mix of new and old techniques. The album serves as an exploration in the art of sampling and takes a step outside of dance floor Jungle/Drum & Bass.
FOUNDATION MIX 012: DJ Hybrid An artist that has fast become a profound name within the jungle scene, releasing tracks on labels such as DJ Vapours '36hertz', Levela's 'Multi Function' and 'Digital Roots', alongside his own imprints: 'Deep In The Jungle' and 'Audio Addict Records'.
