i've got a good grasp on it now after a couple more sessions, can see myself playing it over and over for ages to come. It's definitely convinced me to go for Europa Universalis 4 as well.

The biggest problem is that this game has some of the greatest depth I have ever seen in a game, but for some reason gives you absolutely no "play along" tutorial or anything similar. Then the UI is just full to the brim with different buttons and informations and there are literally thousands of characters in the world as well.....
I had to watch a couple of let's play videos on youtube to understand everything but now I have just made myself the Duke of Dublin and Leinster and will be working towards conquering the rest of Ireland for my dynasty tonight!

But yeah I can totally see why people wouldn't want to play it.

Yeah that hospital part at the end is intense, I had to grill most them fireflies with a flame thrower and some stealthy moves to get to the operating theatre, did not think it would end that way though, thought Joel would get snuffed.

Game of the year by far.

I could see myself giving them another go. Fallout 1 is a frustrating mess but its also somehow one of the most immersive and engrossing games I've played.

VIII's definitely my favourite but you do need to stick with it quite a while before the story really kicks off.

Definitely! All throughout the game I was "alright, I'm guessing Joel is going to get snuffed" then "maybe Elie will die at the end" and back and forth all the way until the end. Seriously emotional ending, and way better story-wise than anything I could have thought of while playing.

As for game of the year for me, serious competition between this and Bioshock Infinite.. I don't think I can decide.

Got my new Seasonic PSU yesterday.
Finally able to play games on 1920 x 1080 without my pc resetting.
And boy does it look good.

BF4 is pretty pretty pretty.

Am I the only one that thinks BF4 looks basically identical graphics wise to BF3? Only thing I noticed was that they finally removed that god awful blue tint.
