Nah cause mixing on 1210s is much much nicer than on a mixtrack which feels like a toy or a video game controller

actually though, if you're gonna buy 1210s but no records you're a massive tnuc

i dunno ive kinda stopped buying vinyl now. or at least till ive got a job again...

still much prefer timecode 1210s to cds

for me its just the way you interact with them though - i hate the feel of cds and controllers, with turntables you can feel the record spin n shit and it just feels like im way more in control

the only time i have tried mixing on tts was on belt driven ones so i probably think it's harder than it is

Timecodes feel much nicer to play than CDs, but the screen is juat too tempting and you can easily end up starrinv on it the whole time like a tnuc. Basically as soon as you can throw the record you can DJ on DVS
CDJs require more skill imo (ofc there are ways to cheat with those too)

i got a shit set off gumtree for 60 quid cos i like buying records and its fun to mix on but i know i'm in no danger of going pro soon, so had no need for £700+ of equipment

i think if you can mix on vinyl though when u go on timecode u dont even look at the screen

i find it more confusing to try work out whats goin on the screen. i just wack a tune on n then just pretend im mixing records

but i reckon it would be well hard to learn to mix with the screen in front of you

youd have to cover it with paper or sumut

yh thats what i did with my controller i learnt to mix while looking at the screen the whole time it's been such a pain to learn to beatmatch properly but im finally there lol

Yeah ofc, but a lot of people are literally glued to the screen, especially guys coming from controllers etc. If you took the screen away it'd be a disaster. Ofc if you can mix vinyl you don't need to look at the screen so much as the guy who mixes by his eyes.

You can still pick up lots of stuff cheap just for fun of listening to it though to be honest. I own so many records bought for a quid or two
