I sat down, they took an xray, and then the dentist and hygienist exchanged an unsettling look of shock. He then poked his head out the surgery door and yelled to his receptionist to cancel all his afternoon appointments. He was joking but I need a lot of work done $$$$.

Apparently the filling he put in yesterday is one of the biggest he's done. It's almost 2/3 of the tooth.

Right now it's still covered in my insurance, so I go once every 6 months

an m7 of mine is having to get a tooth taken out as its so far gone, guna be leaving a big gap.

He has the option of getting a fake one drilled into his jaw or attached to the teeth either side, costs over £1,000 at least.

Tell him to go to a dental school - More chance of pain and/or temporary/permanent paralysis but it's FREE!

I honestly thought I was going to be faced with the same thing. I'm lucky they could salvage what was left of my tooth.

I'd fork out for a fake before I went toothless.

Never had one before. if it hurts its your fault now.

Up until last year, I always felt pain at the dentist and assumed quietly it was normal, then I had to have a back tooth removed,only to be told I have been having my anaesthetic in the wrong nerve because I have a rarer bone structure and it doesn't numb my mouth injecting it in the regular one it took 3 rounds of anaesthetic to pull out my tooth without me feeling a thing, no one ever told me the pain was un-normal. FUCK MY MOUTH.

loooooooool same exact shit here! always had immense pain and then found out it wasn't normal
