I always get superexcited when a package I ordered X months ago finally arrives. usually I've completely forgotten about it by then so it feels like my birthday.
big up the redeye pre-order crew.

The road outside my office is currently gridlocked with taxis protesting the lack of a taxi rank outside The Shard. A good old fashioned go slow is one thing, but stopping hundreds of vehicles in the middle of the city seems a little bit much... already seen one white van man nail it down the pavement!

never really gave it much thought until a few days ago, but the way people consume music today is weird. always saw youtube, soundcloud or w/e services out there like previews or a means to promote the music; didn't occur to me that a lot of people use it to actually listen to it that way. it's like listening to shit on radio or mtv only, but with more control over the content

I actually enjoy a "soundcloud funride" now and then. wouldn't use yt to listen to albums / music though, except for the reasons you already stated (previews and that).

That's peak man.
If he's still alive, I hope he recovers.
You visited him yet?
For you, your friends, and his family.
Sadly he had passed before any medics got there.
Be careful with AMT guys.

[...] Helen Feng's nonsense lyrics on Shanzhai (For Shanzhai Biennial) (a cover of Sinead O'Connor's Nothing Compares 2 U) invert those racist modes into a perversion of Western pop via senseless babble as it reads to a non-English speaking audience.
