I think the lead needs to be set somewhere else in the soundstage, I guess is what I was getting at.

@GRAYSCALE thanks for the reply dude , i used compressed the drums in my tracks and i used sidechain for them .... and i cut all frequencies on the bass ..

and i listened to your track as well .... what i liked a lot was the intro .. what i didnt like so much was the fact that it doesent really drop into the bassline it sort of grows into it ... and the bassline takes over a lot of the sound ... nice work tho ...
and i didnt really know about the review others tracks to get a review thing .... so my bad

No worries bro - never ment to come across as a dick but there is alot of people who just chuck a song on and don't feedback and then the thread gets no where!!
Cheers for the feedback - waiting to get Laptop back from repair at the moment so can't do any alterations - I know there's alot of problems like lack of bass and stuff - my brother said the same thing about the drop, said it was like two intros, lol, I just didn't wanna stick to that standard pattern of 16bars drop etc - hopefully will have the track completed and ready for more criticism by saturday or sunday - keep a look out :wink:

my set up is pretty shit - I've got an acer laptop with a 1.7ghz processor and 2gb ram - CPU was at 80% whlst I was doing that track!! I'm using Ableton Live 8 - i've tryed massive and albino but operator is just the one for me - really liking the sounds that bad bwoy makes - nice simple approach to FM synthesis - i'm monitoring through a pair of shit headphones I nicked back in highschool and a set of logitech speakers with a blown sub (kinda why the sub and bass is so low in the track - gotta start using the frequency analyser) - starting a job on saturday so I'm hoping to save up for Mac mini - and eventually upgrade to logic pro =D how about you bud?

Slowly working my way through these, Tyler Blue - Really nice combination of elements and production. would like to hear your snare popping through a bit more though, maybe a bit less sub? (but i'm still figuring out sub levels myself so may be wrong there!) good track!

@grayscale ... im using a laptop much shittier than urs its a celeron ... but i have an external soundcard so the sound it alright and i have a axiom 25 midi keyboard and the behringer bcr 2000 im using reason and 2 screens i put my rack on one and my sequencer on the other .. makes production much easyer ..... and as far as sound goes i have a 5.1 system but my bass is pretty busted i am getting studio monitors soon .. probabbly from m-audio

@48k

nice track mate .. im loving the bass on it .. the intro is a tad bit too long but it drops nice into the bassline i think the snare could use a little reverb and the drums some sidechaining for the kick / snare to have a bigger effect in punctuating the sound the outro is great too .. overall good sound man

also what software do you use ?

heres one of my tracks if you would care to give me a review on it

@ krsur- felt like there was too much in the high freq in the track,if that makes sense,maybe filter sum things down a bit

heres the track id up before,fixed it up and wanged in a better snare (i hope) and sorted the bassline out,would love some feedback on it,as i hope it tis now finished
