The trick there would have been pulling off a stop without getting all ate up by the asphalt. Next time don't lock up just duck and roll and you won't get all fucked up. Bummer though man.

Yeah I had that going through my head as I was going down but when the time came, I forgot completely. I probly woulda been fine if I'd only brought my sliding gloves to missouri with me.

but luckily, all I got was scrapes, black-ish eye, badly, internally bruised wrist and some swelling. Don't need stitches or anything! Just a tetnis shot and a wrist splint.

Yup. Had the same problem on my birthday with a longboard, ducked and rolled, got bloodied up but after a quick jog it was the best I felt all day hah
