Warning: As important as it might seem, be really careful folks. Some of us have seen scenes come and go, and all the bullshit that goes with it.
Take it from someone who's been around the block a bit, the vultures are coming, do you want to go down with the ship and buy into this stuff or find your own way and stay free like water..
because trust me it's no more or less valid than something like moombahton, it's still just a synthesis.
i'm not here telling anyone what to do, ultimately please just "do you" but be aware that scenes are spider webs, usually formed out of insecurity and greed..
yours,

^ Source?

I've heard him say similar things in other interviews, just wondering where that is from.

yours,
imagine if you changed that to say '130 scene' and posted it in their thread... seems a strange thing to say about your own music still

I think that's very true if you apply it to "130". Stale already.

I'm surprised anything based on footwork hasn't died out already. Considering 90% of it is awful.

Big up Om, making consistently interesting music.

Don't get me wrong, the 10% of it that's listenable is great. But come on, most of it sounds like a kid's made it. Awful vocals repeated over&over&over&over on top of 808 bass and badly placed snares.

I could shit out a footwork album in 10 minutes I reckon.

Personally think the sound is pretty fresh still, loads of good releases coming out.

Looks like it's gonna be more of "Om Unit takes on the Headz sound", which has been pretty awesome until now - everything he's released on Metalheadz has been great. Really looking forward to this

Still think the '130' stuff get's a hard time on here. And while there are certain criticisms that can be thrown at that 'scene'(You could do it with any scene really). Most of the criticisms is just the shitty negative attitude that's applied to everything when discussed on the internet.
