@ andyyhitscar try and mix them tunes with a pair of slightly knackered pair of 1210s and a mixer with a fair few things wrong with it. Then come back to me. Granted you put them tunes together and it probably sounds good. But its a bit of a cop out using a midi controller.

Back to the actual thread, trimbal-confidence boost I always make a mess of. I recently bought some todd terry project tune-back to the beat, been fucking up cueing that because of the intro

u guys should I mass market towels as 'bpm detector covers' on ebay? I put one over my monitor to mix by ear and not get distracted by numbers, but I see a little potential goldmine here

I really have a hard time mixing 45rpm into 33 rpm, I can never get the pitch right. I even tried to apply maths to do but still never sounds right. Any tips?

Do you usually match the pitch slider on each deck instead of mixing by ear?

A bit of both, I place the pitch slider where I feel it would fit best then go by my ears adjusting it.

yeah i know it's 4/4, but once it starts drifting away i can't really get it right, it's that quirky beat

I still find a way to sneak it into sets without beatmatching it tho. Too good to pass up.
