when did start to refuse to give out tap water. ive been to both canal mills, whp and sankeys in the last year or so and rather than tap water they were giving out cups of ice.

my mates have found it hard to book bigger djs in autumn and winter because they all play whp so none of them can be asked to do manchester again.
it basically means there is less house and more garage and grime,
then during spring and summer. more house and techno djs get booked in smaller clubs.

this is just me and my mates experience though so i dont know if thats the same for everyone

a bit of an odd thing to say if you are in charge of admission to a night club styled on warehouse raves in the early 90's with a corporate twist. two very different environments

one of my mates got refused entry a few years ago cos apparently he was too wasted (he was a tiny bit drunk, like most of the other ppl in the queue)

just wandered to the back of the queue and queued again and got in 15 minutes later lol. still. so so so bait

its a disgraceful policy, few clubs where i live do it

i just wrote an angry / professional sounding email and said i was gonna report them to trading standards

and they grovelled at me like ive never been grovelled at in my entire life quickly changed their tune

pretty sure if they serve alcohol they have to provide water and toilets? thats what i thought anyways

so much anger to big corporate clubs over the last page lol
well played thats a good idea.
i hate the feeling of being under the clubs version of the 'law' when ur in them. makes you feel on edge
when you see bouncers battering drunk/drugged up clubbers who are basically defenseless its pretty horrible and you know that the person getting beaten up is just going to get handed over to the police and arrested

i've never seen a club deny somebody water. even if they don't have a water jug with cups out for free the bartender will usually give you a cup.

When I went to see MF DOOM (lol..) it was pretty sick I thought. I mean other than insane front line security it was all good. The main room was fucking freezing for the first few hours.
Def more indoor festival than a club night thats for sure. Didnt get any aggro myself, but a friend got bundled in the toilets because hes and idiot but managed to survive unscathed and was allowed to stay. Some pissed guy even paid for my gf and Is coats cos we let him in the line haha

A bouncer caught me half way through keying some md in Beaver Works and Leeds. i looked up and looked sad so he gave my drugs and keys back and told me to be more subtle

one of my mates got pretty much fully naked in subclub glasgow once, he got trapped in his own partially remvoed clothes like a fly in a spiders web so the bouncers came over and helped him get dressed again (he's a huge guy, like a bear) and they didnt throw him out or anything
i was extremely surprised by that one

have to agree with the no flash tho (only one to agree with imho) would love to smash every stnuc face who has a flash in my eyes those dreadful lighting at most nights are more than obnoxious enough

Tbf I don't understand that one but I was talking with the guy about it when I was there basically he told that since the last few have been shut down by police they say it to not raise suspicion. A bit tin foil hat of em if you ask me but I can sorta understand why they'd say it

how does talking in the club affect the chances of being broken up by police
