Crimsonghost wrote:If you want the ultimate control, lemur is the way to go. It's a bit pricy (for an app) and kinda complex but it's absolute control over everything. And they just implemented a sequencer in it also.

I've tried Theysis for ipd and it's a good idea, but it doesn't port well to iOS. It's just too clunky. Although the other sugarbytes apps are nice, turnado in particular.
I've heard a lot about Lemur. :Q: As long as it has a song mode in the sequencer I'm in, though I'll probably end up buying it anyway. Might make buying a DSI Tetra worth the dosh next time I see a great deal. Owned a Mopho for about three years, loved the sound...but programming it was for the birds. Can't imagine having to deal with four voices!

Yeah I do. It's a pain in the ass to program, but it sounds good and does a fair number of things. It's kinda strange; on its own the reverb doesn't sound that impressive, but in a mix it works sooo well. Also since it's been used on tons of stuff from the 90's on, it's reverb just kinda sounds "right" in a weirdly familiar way. I usually need to filter and eq after, but it's nice since the only other OTB verbs I have are the spring in the space echo which is awesome, but very particular, and the verbs on the elektron machines I sometimes hook up to the mixer sends

I have a lowly MPX-100, but I swear it sounds better than a lot of software reverbs I've heard. I have it routed as an external effects unit out of Ableton.

Haha, I thought he was referring to a Lexicon mx300, I was like what is he doing with that low end kit, should have known the lexicon 300.

A lot of ikea in there. As we speak my wife is building a kallax 2x2 like that, but black.

Looks cozy in there.

yeah but you ought to move the monitors a feet or so away from the wall, JLN :W:

helps with judging the sub levels

yeah, might be a bit dull in the low frequencies, but putting the table further away from the wall would just smallen the room and its already quite small. Maybe I have to look for another spot in the room...

But its nice to produce there during the night with just the light beneath the deskt turnt on, creates quite a special atmosphere :i:

And yep, a lot of Ikea :6:
Its cheap, practical and these Blocks are just perfect for records...

Or the other way around where they seem too quiet

both can happen in that situation when they go straight into a surface (wall) like that.

just saying :W: . .. there's always something just seemed like an easy fix tbh

So, just an update on the nwj studio build odyssey:

Yesterday, got my pc set up, got monitors up, both visual and audio, got keyboard, was ready to boot up, had to find wireless mouse. I'm sure I'd found it somewhere when unpacking. I remember checking to make sure it was turned off so the battery wouldn't drain.

3 hours I looked for the little fucker. Checked and rechecked boxes and boxes and boxes. Was dripping sweat. Was praying to god. The mouse was on my desk the whole time, ready to go.

:H:

Booted up my pc, still not wired up to internet, but played Moguri, slamming. Such a different sound in this room. I was in a really shit room for 7 years. I like the sound much better here. And so nice to be able to monitor at proper (to nwj) levels. YES!

Will be posting some pictures of the studio. Swear!

If it was, and you guessed it, they'd find you in a hot tub face down with a patch cord wrapped around your neck.
