I think the 808 clap is fine, it's the context I don't always like.

I think this is because thanks to the new technologies having access to good music and producing is easier for everyone, but creativity still being a treasure that only a chosen few can have

'Deep' ironically not, just halfstep in a minor scale with a delayed low passed synth stab ...to me Burial is what I would consider 'Deep'

I don't describe any of this shit as deep.

Burial isn't deep

it's a stupid word

It is to me because his music layered in a way that you hear a lot of new stuff that you may never of noticed before, hence 'deep', many levels.

Totally agree. "Post Sicko-Cell" (I'm joking by the way) most of the music people seem to rave over has been so fucking dull. I agree about the Swamp 81 thing too, but maybe it's only so boring now because everybody else took it and ran with it.
this
I'm done with swamp81 tbh. Don't care for that label and style. Never got the hype about those Boddika & Joy O tunes. Overly overrated imo.
And what's the deal with all this wannabe techno a la Blawan. It's like Downwards stuff for people who aren't into techno and don't want to like dubstep.
Just as annoying as brostep imho.

Anyway, enough with the negativity on my part. There's a lot of good stuff out there too, and I'd be a hypocrite to say I don't enjoy some of it. I just think it's a shame things went down this route.
