Depends on how they use the €40 million they've gotten from the deal, along with all the money the CL will bring.

Madrid are clearly pissed off at Barca dominating the national team, who pays £35m for Ilaremendi?

id rather pay 35 for him than 35 for caroll tbf- but yeah i think there is a bit of nationalism at work there: they've bought Isco too ie. the next spain midfield pairing though i'm not sure how they're all going to fit with xabi alonso and ozil.
Thing is in spain, so many clubs are in massive debt, they have to sell players to service them, so it probably won't get invested in other players. Pretty much every team except barca and madrid have to sell players this year, often to those two clubs- it's going to get even more unequal there soon- only atletico can notionally keep up really. Very dull

.

Apparently we're signing the Spain Under-20 captain from Sevilla for £2m, good signing IMO.
Goes to show how little money there is in Spain ATM though.

isco is going to be the best player of madrid in a few years and he is going to become a standard of the club
and yes all teams are broke and is so shit because madrid and barça wins a LOT more from tv rights and people are stoping to go to the stadium because of the tv so the situation is like a dog triying to bite its own tail

the duopoly in spain would be a bit dull if you're a supporter of anyone apart from barca or real i reckon. think EPL is gonna be wide open this year, Chelsea, City, United, Arsenal and Spurs all with a shout
