Utds chief executive has left their far east tour to conclude a "big transfer".
Most people seem to think it's Fabregas...

would be really surprised - neither cesc wants to go nor barca want or need to sell.
more likely to be fellaini judging from papers last few days i reckon
Considering i was expecting to go to sleep and wake up finding that Higuain had signed/ was in london a few thursday ago, things have progressed pretty shitily for arsenal transfer wise, well long. 6-0 tho, giroud having cracking pre-season, wouldnt put it must him to have a big year, got all the right ingredients to bang 20 EPL goals i reckon

Whether Barca want to sell him who knows, but I don't believe any of the rubbish about Fabregas would never join our rivals. Players do what is best for their career...

Fabregas was Barca's highest assist last year no? He won't be leaving the Nou Camp. I mean he'd become Uniteds best player instantly IMO but we slipped up not going in for Thiago but I guess he was always gonna be Pep bound...
If it's United signing a player its more than likely going to be Garay but it wouldnt be surprising to me if it was something to do with Rooney going to Chelsea. If rumours of Mata + £10m are true (that we turned down) then I guess we are holding out for more because that is a pretty good deal. Mata has easily been one of the best players in the league over the past 2 season. I'd say the best if it had not been for Bale's Ronaldo-esq streak of doom.

Even though Fabregas hasn't been brilliant for Barca I do agree that in that Man U midfield he would instantly become their main man. I just don't see it happening. They have just sold Thiago to Bayern (which pissed me off, he will be behind Shweinsteiger, Martinez, Gustavo, Kroos, Gotze, Ribery, Robben) so I don't expect they will want to sell another CM. Hopefully Bayern decide to share some of their ridiculously talented midfield with the rest of Europe, Real Madrid can do the same while they are at it.
On Rooney though, there is no way Mata was involved in that deal because any sensible person would have bitten Chelseas hand of for him. I think it would be more fair if it was the other way round. Monaco and PSG have made it a disappointing window so far with the big stars moving to France.
Would definitely be an improvement on Gervinho. Looking like we're stuck with Giroud as our main striker for another season

If Man Utd stride out as defending champions with Van Persie and Fabregas in August, I'm going to blow something up. No #twitterjoketrial, just some good ol' fashioned, straight forward terrorism.

The back and forth is like something out of Father Ted
"Will you be selling him for £20m, Barcelona?"
"No thank you, Mr Moyes"
"What about for £25m?"
"No thank you, Mr Moyes"
"Would you be be selling him for £30m, Barcelona?"
"No Mr Moyes, he's really not for sale"
"Oh gwan gwan gwan gwan gwan..."
