I think pretty much everyone here would much rather have a physical copy instead of a rip.

Nah I'm just gonna donwload a rip. Fuck that.
Don't really buy any dubstep records anymore anyway, but if it weren't lmited I most likely would've gotten myself a copy just for sentimental reasons. But now I'm not even going to bother trying to get my hands on a copy if it has to be like this.

Oh I'll be doing loads of stuff on wednesday. Sitting in front of my computer refreshing the Idle Hands and Honest Jons website for hours won't be one of them though.

Ripping a .wav from a pristine vinyl via a hifi turntable and amp should produce something quality enough for lacquer.
I'd be all over this totally shamelessly. At one point I was considering buying the bootleg of dmz007 but ultimately decided against it since it seemed like kind of a dick move (there's lots of copies out there, it's a document of time, etc) but a bootleg of this would actually be really funny and justified.
Exactly. I have no problem with Gizmo putting out new techno tunes out in releases of 300 with no repress (the Horsepower/Beneath split was fire, and is still in at Honest Jon's), but this is a tune that people have been waiting on for years, and should have come out on DMZ or at least seen a proper pressing. The fact that Loefah would stoop to something like this is pretty damn disgruntling, and a bootleg is 100% in order.
BUN DI SYSTEM
What's even worse is that the people who end up coping this will be neckbeards that got into dubstep in 2013 and have 4 shitty recent tempa records and a crosley turntable.
The sense of entitlement on here is truly amazing.
Entitled would be demanding for the dubplates to be released in the first place. Loefah and BH owe me nothing, but should they choose to release the most coveted dubplate in the entire genre like this, speaking of a bootleg isn't the slightest bit unreasonable. I suppose you're one of the people who applauds this type of shit?
I don't see how it's coveted dubplate status means they have some sort of extra responsibility to release it for everyone. If Loefah and Gizmo feel like 300 copies is the best way to release it then so be it. I don't applaud it I just occasionally like the idea of certain records being hyper specific. Records that only someone living in a certain place, at a certain time would have.

one thing i will say about this whole thing is i never even heard of berceuse heroique until now and you gotta admit, going through there discogs, if you like techno, they have some top notch output.
people also going on about there only being 300.
you can pretty much guarantee there will be at least one repress.
they're repressing that japan blues record because of demand. you gotta give them some credit, they're being given this amazing opportunity to gain recognition from a new audience and for all we know they may have limited funds so can only press certain amounts at a time.
they seem like a legit label so people need to give them a chance before they start going wild with fury

are you suggesting you think there would be a repress? has loefah or the label publicly said there will or will not be a repress?

Fuck the police just press enough for everyone
Looks like all those jokes about people dropping/cutting youtube rips of Midnight were more prescient that we thought

they repressed the japan blues record cos of demand/discogs prices. the same demand/discogs prices will happen with midnight, but they will obviously already know this (because its midnight lol)
so my guess is there will be no repress, UNLESS they are pressing 300 literally just to keep in line with their aesthetic/previous releases and will immediately do another run

yeah i think they'll end up repressing it. everyone just assumes the worse with things like this.
they've repressed certain records before and posted on Facebook not to pay the silly prices on discogs and wait for the repress.
why would it be any different with this release?
anyone serious about bootlegging this record why not put that energy into something productive that may help with the scene like put on a night or get good at making tunes.
then maybe when you've done that you'll realise what a shitty move bootlegging someones hard work actually is.

^ according to a friend, Loe said he didn't want everyone to own the record and keep a certain exclusivety (is this even a word?) to it.

its funny how i haven't heard one person applaud berceuse heroique for persuading loefah to even release the record in the first place?
why all the negativity?
2 years ago people would of sucked skrillys dick for a chance to own midnight/women on the same record

People are annoyed that Loefah chose to make it so exclusive instead of having it well pressed on a label such as medi, dmz or swamp.
