Thanks bro! I appreciate that a lot... I gotta give credit back to the guys on this forum, cause over the past 5 months, I have learned so many little things, that I have incorporated into my workflow... Update otw, I am re-working the mix down for a final now... Going back over, and re-doing my compression, eq, limiting, etc... I honestly think , slapping a limiter on the master bus @ -0.3 w/ 9-10 gain helps with hearing imperfections in the mix, cause it gives you that some what post production sense of awareness...

@ParaTroXic: This mix is really good! That sound @ 0:14 "door closing sound" sounds off beat or something, maybe that's just me... I don't think it fits... Other than that the track sounds really awesome!

@SMOR3S I really really really love your lowpass automation in the first bit, makes it move really nicely and keeps it interesting. The vocals are definitely well mixed imo, sidechained just enough to let everything else poke through. Again, great job with the automation during the bridge. The drops are wonderful as well, excellent job man. To be very very picky about it, I'd make the clap a bit more prominent during the sections when there's a lot going on. But big up on the track as a whole, well done sir.

@ParaTroXic The composition is there, I absolutely love the placement of everything. The only thing I'd suggest is panning your hats and sfx a little less, as it's a bit disorienting and distracts from the main bass sounds. Also the snare/clap doesn't poke through as much as I think it should on some occasions. One trick I've found super useful is sidechaining the bass noises to the snare just a little bit. It's hardly noticeable but it does help a bit. Overall though, this is a beast of a track, can't wait to hear the full version!

@dotcurrency A couple of things: at the very beginning, I'd consider adding some lower notes in the piano sequence to fill the space up a bit. I do agree that you should work on the transitional stuff, but what you have is pretty solid already. During the drop, I found it a bit confusing in that I wasn't sure when the piano would cut back in or when the bass noises would start, I'd structure that a little better and make it more predictable. I liked the bass noises you did have, they flowed together nicely. The tempo change at 2:16 was REALLY tight, the sudden nature of it was really unique, however the one at 2:54 was a little less awesome, not exactly sure why. I'd only change tempo once: say what you have to say at 140, then move on to 110. As a whole, it's really nice; it'll take a bit of work but it'll get there.

Thanks all for the feedback on my last WIP, I'll be sure to work on what ya'll suggested. Here's a different one, not dubstep, but fuck it. I threw together the intro and outro today, so those are shit, and the transitions I think are a bit wack, but please feel free to leave composition suggestions for me, and also mixdown if you're so inclined. The tl;dr version starts at 2:15.

@Kibb: That is a weird looking wave form ^__^

First off the mix sounds great! The transition right @ 0:30 seems a bit off, like right when 0:30 hits idk, maybe that's just me thinking that... You could add a sound that automates downwards, cause it just feels to empty when 0:30 hits....

Your bass and kicks sound phat... What compressor are you using on your kicks? I am using a CLA-2A on mine...

Only other thing is your claps @ 2:38, they sound a bit loud in the mix, or to sharp, try high cutting them a bit...

Btw, @ 2:22 - 3:50, that sounds mad tight! Could I remix that part?, and maybe do something with it, or a do a remix of your track, and fit a new baseline around that?

Also for my track, you mean the claps during the drops? If so, then I agree, they are a bit muffled under the mid and low end, so I might actually EQ up the high end on those during the main baseline parts...

SMOR3S - Once again, It's very good, I'd would say another good mix down - and it should be about done.

In response to your feedback, I've mono'd it a little bit, to get rid of the panning slightly for the hi hats etc. Please reply if it was sucsesful.

Kibb I agree with the clap part, it is abit too loud. However your chorus/drop is very good. I can imagine it to be an absolute killer in a live rave, well done - keep working on it, and post back when you've got ur next version of it.

Ok, heres my track - its changed quite abit than my previous one. As you can see its without buildup, and has 2 drops into one, as I have not yet made a breakdown, hence why the chorus long. Please give feedback. And also, which version do you prefer . The first drop or second.

@ ParaTroXic: nice drop, bass sounds are good. at about 11 seconds those cowbell or whatever sounds in the background are a bit annoying though, other than that: great wip! oh, i just saw the second version: much better than the first one.^^

@ Kibb: not really my type of music but i found it enjoyable. as you've already said yourself, transitions are a bit off, i'd start working on those.

@Kibb … Nice feel to that, very clean sound. It's not generally the style of music I produce, but listening to it I can hear it sounds tight.

@Smor3s … Oooooh a very nice vibe to that, reminds me of something I'd listen to watching the sun set in Ibiza. Are they original vocals? Really nice track mate.

@ParaTroXic: (Thanks bro! I get my MS20's today, so I am going to get this track all mixed down, and ready for my new EP!) Your track feel a lot heavier, and thicker than before... Really can feel the dynamics better... I wish I had my MS20's right now, so I could hear to low end better, cause these 8323 headphones aren't the best for low end, they are actually pretty flat for response, but great for mixing... Idk if I said this before, but you nailed that Rusko-esk vibe, without stepping into brostep! (no offense lol...) The track doesn't seem muddy at all, and every sound I hear, I can distinctly separate in my mind, from the other, even though they melt together so well... This is good, cause your track isn't just a bunch of mess... It's well constructed, and sounds awesome! Overall great mix! Really digging that 1-2, 1-2, piano pluck in the background too, it makes the track feel chill, but up in your face at the same time!...

Also about the hi hats, umm.. I can kind of hear them... They seem really center channel, was that what you were going for? Honestly the best tip I can give for hi hats, or tams, is to make 2 channels, hard pan both, one to the right, one to the left, and then make one of the channels delayed like an 1/8 - 1/16 of a bar, like for example, the right channel would start an 1/8 of a second after the left, to give it that natural stereo width, cause if you have 2 channels hard panned to the right and left, it wouldn't make a difference, cause it would sound centered kind of, but honestly I feel that just muddies up the stereo spectrum more.. Delaying one gives the other a bit of room to breath, like side chaining in a sense, erm so ya :3 You can do this with automation, but it's easier just to make one start a 1/8 of a second - half a second after the other.... Hope that translated over okay LOL...

@bRRRz: I know your track in your sig isn't a WIP, but I just have to say my meme I created.. *cough* *cough* "It needs more bongos" ^__^

@GV1: (dawww.. You made me smile... How I wish to play the sunset @ Ibiza! One day maybe ^__^) Okay, so off the start the vocals seem a bit low in the mix, are they side chaining to the kick, cause it seems the kick is really over powering, unless you are just using the vocals are like a backing melody to feel in space, but since it's mainly the whole track, I presume they are main vocals... The main fx/bassline/synth/blooop noise is louder than the vocals as well... Kicks seem to sit behind the mid range also, try boosting them, or side chaining/duck the synth, as well as raise the vocals a bit louder, and then side chain that more, to bring the kicks back out... The hi hats seem left panned for some reason also, are they meant to be like that? The track has a really good vibe, but could use a better mix down...

GV1: Sounds pretty sweet. Bring up the vocals and throw a tiny bit of reverb on them, thats all I can say so far, cant wait to hear more of that.

KIbb: Really smooth tune, I think the transitions are perfectly fine. Really nice groove! Id like t hear your snare/clap a bit more though, I feel like a bit of the percussion is lost in your mix, besides the kick.

Smor3s: Really nice intro, like the low-passing you did there. Drop is really smooth and the vocals sound great, I also enjoyed your little break. Nothing I can complain much about.

Heres my new tune. Im a little unsure about the hat change up in the second drop.

@antman: The hat rolls sound good in the first drop, and the hats sound fine in the second also... Awesome track!

@Crow Steppa: The second drop is way to messy for my taste... Is it suppose to initially sound like that, or is that because of the "not mixdowned yet part"

Here is a WIP of another track I am working on for my EP.... It's called "Time"... I want to keep it simple and make that main melody the highlight of the track, so I honestly think it sounds somewhat full right now, but I could add more.... My main concern, is the kicks and sub bass.... Does the sub bass sound to chessy?, and does the kicks hit good? (I think the main melody might be a bit low in the mix...)

The track is somewhat mixed down...

*NOTE* I threw a quick L316 limiter on the master as a temp, just to bring it up to level....

+3 - Ohh, very nice - got some nice vibes to it. Shame that your previous one got lost. I Can't really fault it, as I do not listen to the kind of style that your track is in, however it is very good, and has a nice mixdown. The sidechain effect (dunno) sounds sick. Well done.

Crow Steppa - Thanks for your feedback. I can see what your trying to achieve with your track, but it's a little bit messy. To improve it, change the melody somewhat, and add some more sub bass to fill it out. Good luck.

bRRRz - Nice needs to be filled out more, I reckon your bass sounds could sound more phat Keep pushing, as its very good however.

This is my version 3 of my WIP, please give feedback, as said before - it has no breakdown, or buildup hence why it consists of two drops into one.
