Trying to get a jammy wicket I guess.

The total is still going to be pretty easy to chase down, 180/190 tops (fingers crossed)

yeah he's got a good county cricket record. We only need 2 wickets from the other end though, shouldn't be impossible. Kleinveldt has already exceeded all expectations

In all fairness the conditions helped england out massively.

So much swing at the start of SA innings for Anderson, total sunshine for the entirety of englands innings.

Ideal situation for tomorrow:

Win toss
Bat
Hundreds for Cook, Root & Trott

I'm actually a bit nervous though, Aus seem to have pulled their shit together just in time.

Lehmann will be our best.
and we'll fall short because of spin.

or... michael clarke trips over a cricket ball during the warmup and is ruled out

at least it looks set fair for the foreseeable future- if we can win the first one then i think aus could fall apart, so big first test!

Will be interesting to see how england handle the conditions, not exactly swing bowling weather outside! Maybe the dryness will cause a bit of extra bite for swann though..

No doubt there's a lot of pressure on clarke to perform, I think he can handle it though.

So Pattinson pulls a harmison and starts with a wide :)

I reckon they've bought in this Agar kid because of Pietersens supposed weakness to slow left armers, hopefully KP can take him to bits

pitch looks low and sloooow. Footholes could be good for swann and a bit of reverse swing in the fourth- almost like an indian wicket.

Resting our hopes on Trott today, I'm thinking a big ton this innings.

for some reason we're hearing English commentary
& it's quickly becoming less cocky
where are those tons boys?

We've still got 2 good batsmen at the crease plus prior to come.

Broad, Swann and to an extent Finn are all capable of putting a few more runs on the board, I must admit that Aus have bowled better than I was expecting.

Siddle showing that experience counts for a whole lot more than youth out in the middle.

*edit* Bell seems to be dealing exclusively in boundaries

180 for 6
Lehmann's influence has quelled our fella's egos
but it doesn't explain the batsmen.
(a not very subtle piece of psyching out :3:)

England need a few quick wickets here, just to get their heads back in the game a bit.
