yeah but if he can only do that one more time he'd be worth whatever you have to pay imo

He was the next big thing a few years back, all seems to have gone a bit wring for him. Maybe a change of league is what he needs

Bale is not worth more than falcao and cavani, and the french clubs overpayed for them

"Injured" for this game against SC as well.

I'm sick of this now, get rid of the tnuc already if Madrid are honestly going to pay that money. That's more than Ronaldo, and when he left Man U, he was pretty much the best player in the world and while Bale is good, he needs to have the same season next season to keep that.

Him for Benzema +cash, that'll do.

That's the sort of valuation that translates as 'everybody fuck off please'.

This lol. Also, it's not up to us to say what the value is or should be. When he's basically their sole creative force, he's gonna be worth a shitload to them, far above what his true value is, because they're going to have a fucking hard time replacing him if he goes.

Fabregas is our main target, would be stoked if we get him. Settle for Fellaini and Baines though naturally.

It does seem a bit harsh to hold onto Bale when someone's tried to break a transfer record for him - can understand Spurs wanting to hang on, but when you scupper a player's chances of making history it's has a little bit more impact than just turning down a casual nibble. They'll have to do very well to keep him motivated if he stays...

Bit like the Fabregas situation a couple of years ago, I guess.

In the nicest possible way, would love to see Bale go to the continent for a shit load and turn into a Jonathon Woodgate

They'll never have a better chance to finish above us. They've managed to bring in 2 players that will improve them while we mess around making delusional bids for Suarez.

I hope Bale stays though, £90m would set them up for years (As long as they don't spend it all on Carroll, Downing, Henderson)

What British/English players have actually managed to properly take root abroad? Can think of plenty of disappointments... maybe it's just that I stop following them as much, but Beckham never seemed to quite live up after leaving United, McManaman disappeared like a gangster heading to the Costa del Crime, Owen's career pretty much fizzled out in a season at Real...

David Platt did alright, I guess... and at least Joey Barton picked up a bit of French.

it's the norm now so i can at least chuckle. painful doe.

i can see bale going coz if anyone's smashing records this summer, it's gonna be madrid.
that would leave spurs with x amount of p though. lose/lose situation for the neutral.
