Granted its CBS news that's calling it an OD, but I'm the first to admit that I know nothing of MDMA. What I do no is that in the 2-3 weeks there have been a slew of deaths and hospitalizations in and Boston because of it

Was reading somewhere that an awful lot of what's sold as MDMA in the US isn't even actually the real deal, it may have been PMA (paramethoxyamphetamine) or PMMA (paramethoxymethamphetamine) which has been responsible for quite a few deaths

nah, theres tons of pure around, especially gel caps - but yeah, most of the kids dying though are inexperienced users, getting pressed pills with pmma in them. i had a friend who died a couple years back from it. but because of his inexperience, he took a few pills in a short period of time, not understanding that it takes time to come up, and that well...you just can't take drugs that way when you're green.

pma is actually pretty fun in moderation too

Oh I'm sure there is plenty of proper stuff too, just I find it unlikely someone would OD on it unless they got some hooky pills or just taking waaaaaay too much in one go without the necessary experience

Yeah you can do like 5 "good" pills worth (140mg) in one night and still come out the other side. Must be dodge stuff. Unless having never done it before you do loads, drink loads of booze instead of water and fry your brain.
