Hello everybody. My name is Gage. I am actually not a dubstep artist, rather I am a young filmmaker seeking a dubstep artist to write a song for me for a film I am working on. I love dubstep and think it will do well in the film. The problem is I have to find someone who is willing to work with me and make a song. If anyone is interested in helping out email me at gixis@umich.edu.

Hi everyone!

Im a 27 year old EDM producer from London. After a background in DJ'ing I have been producing for about 2 years and starting to take it a bit more seriously now, I don't just write Dubstep, but also House and more ambient electronic stuff under different aliases. I'm here to connect with like minded peeps, exchange production ideas and hopefully learn a few things.

I also just set up my soundcloud profile so feel free to hit me up on there. https://soundcloud.com/lokie-edm

Look forward to meeting you all, cheers!

Hi all!

I am a newcomer who has been meaning to sign up for a while. I am researching EDM events at uni so I am predominantly here to ask questions (as I don't really have any friends who like EDM music :( ) and I hope in the process my questions don't annoy anyone! I am a 26 year old female from Australia. I never really grew up around EDM culture, so I find that genres such as dubstep have quite a strong affect on me, and I am interested to know if others feel the same way as I do.

If you do see my lame questions around on the forums, pleeeeeeease take a moment to think about how music affects you and reply, as I am sure I'm not the only one who feels moved by music.

I also started using a couple of different DAWs about a year ago. I'm not very good but I'm hoping to get better and one day at least get some stuff up on soundcloud or something. I am thinking of doing a certificate in electronic music production to help me get there, as I'm not very motivated when it comes to being self-taught!

Hope to speak to you all soon! :t:

Cheers,
laloba

Respect mate. Quality control is a very important part of music that gets overlooked by a lot of newer producers.

I'd stick to one DAW though, as a rule of thumb. Learn it inside out.

Gut reaction tells me to avoid paying for a certificate in electronic music production though.

Hey everyone, my name is Abel I'm 17 years old I'm from Holland. I love the dark, yet skanking, UK sounds like Subfiltronik and Suplex. I also produce myself with FL Studio for a long time, I'm very interested in sound design I'm not that good but I hope I'll get better one day. That's about it.

Yo whats good Dub forums.. I go by Jancrowman and I've been into beatmaking/producing since maybe 2009 when I bought an MPK49 midi controller. Since then I've really been lacking the time spent forth working on actual productions, but meanwhile I've been reading up on some theory and watching a ton load of youtube videos.. I'm not quite where i want to be as far as producing, and the tracks i make only come up to like 2 minutes which is not enough for me! However I am trying hard to develop my craft/style and im here just like anyone else because as much as i don't have much tracks to show, I'm real serious about producing. Im 24, turning 25 this coming Sunday, I reside in Sunny South FL... It would be real cool to meet any locals but i don't know of any so thats why I'm here, to learn from the coolest!

I've even seen that Excision posts here sometimes, his music rocks me and i want to learn that style of crazy heavy mid range bass. I've been trying to learn so much using my resources, theres just so much to learn though, and i need to keep myself constant with one DAW which I will be using Fl, although if i had the bread i'd be going for ableton, but thats not happening.

Don't think he's posted for a few years.
