Varies with producers. Mr.Mitch does stuff between 120-140 mostly I think, JT 140, Murlo 130, Slackk 120-140, Filter Dread could be anything
Mostly around 140 though but it varies a fair amount.

lol?
I wasn't hating on it, just wondering what people like about it, since I struggle to find anything about it that appeals to my taste. while I'm aware of the fact the label doesn't exist to cater my needs exclusively, asking such a thing and pointing out the aspects I personally don't appreciate too much surely can't be called hating, especially since I tried my best to sound somewhat polite and decent. it's a forum, people discuss. not everyone is going to like everything, and people will share their feelings, positive or negative... I bought and still enjoy the first four Soundman Chronicles plates, I rate Rabit as a producer - if I didn't I wouldn't have bothered and tried to write down my thoughts on the new bits.

i would have expected the etch one to be around 130bpm, but yeah facta and epoch releases were 140, and still in my mind i'd have it as a 130 label, guess its an argument for 130 comprising more than just a bpm

so we have a movement where people make 140 inspired tunes, mostly at 140, but called 130.
barmy tbh.

tunes are sick still for the most part, but what a silly name.
it's like someone took loefah's offhand 'no genre, we make 140 shit' comment and ran with it for a new era
like that new Rabit + the white glacial is nice, will cop.
sidenote on critiques, how accurately can u judge a release on redeye previews? first impressions sure but having a good few listens in HQ at a decent volume can often change how you feel about something (not to mention having the whole track)

of course and I completely agree. however, I wasn't attempting to write down a thorough review of this (still unreleased, lol what did I start) record, the only thing I did try was to point out how the samples provided make me feel about what to expect. seeing how some people showed positive reactions to what they heard, I started to wonder what I might have missed. since you seem to like it - maybe you want to share your thoughts about why that is?
oh, and for some of us (un)fortunate fucks who don't happen to live in the UK or near Hardwax, often times preview clips and the odd radio rip are all we can base our purchase decision on - before it says "out of stock!" everywhere you look.

I just put out music I like really, no particular rules or idea of direction, just sign what I personally think is good music
thats how I think every label should operate
I don't expect every release to be for everyone but then the label has been going for just under two years and things / tastes do change (don't worry, I won't be putting out any deep house). It's just a reflection of my personal space and to encourage and support those all around me.

sorry for stirring things up once again. wasn't my intention, didn't intend for this discussion to get heated and be all negative.

#stopUKromanticism
but yes indeed - sometimes it's a tuff one to rely on previews, crappy radioshow snippets and such. but hey, i'm sure not every buyer in uk has heard every fresh tune on a big system.

is there a tune with the same flute sample as this getting played recently
sounds really familiar and i'm pretty sure it wasn't a cyrus tune

maybe something by Local Action / Inkke?
El Mahdi Jr. has been using similar flutes aswell.
