Imo the shallow grave Remix is alright, if it was a stand alone tune it sounds good but compared to the original it isn't all that. Only listened once tbf, but that's I think

yeah that would be tedious as fuck. Kinda wish kahn & neek had remixed a different tune though, i dont really like the search haha. (i like their remix though)

yes that Hodge plate is one of the best dance music records I bought in the last couple of months. really good tunes, sound nice in the mix aswell. is it just me or could the tunes have been mastered a bit louder though? I feel like they sound considerably quieter than the other Hotline releases. not saying this is a bad thing, just observing, really.
I was contemplating buying that Plasticman remix plate but decided against it. the Mak & Pasteman remix is pretty weak in my oppinion, the Kahn & Neek tune is solid but it's just more of the same really, and the Wen remix on B2... well, not gonna shell out 15quid for one decent tune. plus, I figured might aswell let someone have it who actually appreciates every tune.

yeah mate you are over thinking it.
Most of the "130" producers (edit:also) make stuff that doesn't really fit the stuff in this thread. I guess most people are on the same page when it just means keysound and similar.
Worrying if stuff is actually tru "130" or not is pretty deadout. Prob only really a viable question when it comes to if you should post a tune in this thread or not, otherwise who cares?
i think the "camp/community/family" thing with 130 is kinda jading people too, almost makes it seem like a closed group circle jerk type thing which its actually the exact opposite
All pretty fair points, would just personally take a different spin on me 'overthinking' and say that I enjoying discussing this stuff, maybe I'm a bit weird but, especially now I'm trying to write blog posts, I'm interested in other people's perceptions to compare against my own so I'm not talking rubbish the whole time. It's not like I'm actually sitting about 'worrying' about whether stuff is 130, I just think the intentionally blurry boundaries of the scene make for interesting discussions if people don't resort to abuse. Admittedly pretty much goes completely against what Froobsy started this thread for though so I should probly shut up.
Anyyyway looks like we've moved back to tunes which is probably for the best. Got sent this one a while back and totally rate, fits the vibe but has its own twist for sure. Soundcloud

big up all the producers who make this music
I'm gonna do a mix now that'll probably be the first of my radio shows, and there'll be a good amount of tunes from the producers who have stuck their head into this thread.

that tune is too sick, love it!
got them skull disco vibes imo
shit even Hamas Rules got that flute in it
Wasn't an Emma bit was it? She uses similar scales I think.
had a brief flick through her soundcloud, doesn't seem to be, the 130 thred hedz are pretty knowledgeable so i assume i've invented a myth and have instead heard a cyrus song twice

Love Acres stuff but I feel as hes progressing its moving more and more towards pure techno.. bit like Beneath as well. Not that that's a bad thing, tunes are still big.. just preferred the more garage influenced stuff.

Acre has always been on the very grimey / techno side of things though. Not a lot of garage in his productions, as far as I can tell. Now, I only know his release on Cold, the split 12" with Luke Leadbelly, and the previews for the recent one, but if anything, he's gone more towards stripped-down, funky-infused, dark techno - as Beneath, like you said.
(By the way, I'm a bit surprised I don't hear Objekt's tunes in "130" sets more often, since a lot of them really fit into that 130/garage/techno aesthetic imho.)
