you dont realize the levels of butter getting churned over here or the levels of substitute teachers wearing little thors hammers around the neck or how many grassy noles that have historical names. Actually if there's a field someone will have named something on it (in denmark).

Not quite sure I got the full gist of this... are you just saying Danes and Norwegians are more into Viking culture than most other nationalities. I think I did realise that.

I mean, despite trying to not get into it and learn anything from it, you get all the aforementioned thrown at you a lot, ofcourse. But the point was you can't escape it.
Imagine an american white male dressing up as an indian and how akward that would be. In my experience it is as out of place when a white male from the 21st century dress up as viking - but it's quite common over here.

Started watching Always Sunny in Philadelphia yesterday, brilliant so far. Since Curb stopped I've had a problem finding something that comes close, this is an acceptable substitute.
If anyone can recommend anything similiar do so

^^The League
Very similar to both Curb and IASIP. Not as good as Curb but better, imo, than IASIP. (I think it was written by some of the same people who wrote for Curb but don't quote me on that)
For me IASIP gets so grating after a while - they're all such unrelenting arseholes to each other it just gets a bit much. The League is similar in that respect as they're all friends trying to outdo each other just perhaps not in such a soul destroying way. It's also closer to Curb in the way the stories unfold but nowhere near as clever. Still amusing but missing that magic that Curb had (probably the lack of involvement from Larry David if what I said about the writers is actually correct).

Suits was alright, Harvey was by far the best character.
The constant on/off relationship between the main guy and the legal secretary or whatever she is was particularly generic and uneccesary though

Has anyone watched Copper or Hell On Wheels?
I need to fill the gaping historical American crime void that's just been left by the Boardwalk season finishing.

hell on wheels is ' merely' acceptable but there's a few good characters etc

Only watching comedies at the moment. Louie, It's Always Sunny and New Girl.
New Girl is easily one of the funniest shows I've seen, together with Parks & Rec.
