This was back in 2006 when there was not a huge amount of airtime for the sound in mainstream channels.
Speaking of, I cannot find any links for this, not on Barefiles (or GD). I might check the mixes thread again, but I'm sure I've checked that already. If you know any, PM me please.
That was proper battle, lads. Nothing makes the holidays warmer than a nice, heated competition. Big tracklist also!

I'm not into "filth" so much, but that first track from MRK1's minimix... oh shit son.

ok it would seem that the soundclash part of the show is not going to be available for listen back so feel free to download that section of the show but please use the listen back links for the rest of the show as that provides viewing figures for the BBC which will only help to make it more likely that future shows like this can happen
anyone who posted links for downloads to that section before feel free to post them up now and for everything else check the link below
I got put off from the beginning because I was expecting Mary Ann Hobs and got annie Mack and the first three tunes were duff. Sounds as though the soundclashes were worth a listen and the history mix also. I'll have to check those out.

Just listened to the Benji B feature, can't believe people are moaning, he had to cover all bases and he did, excellent representation of the genre. He played the brostep tunes pretty much tongue in cheek anyway.

Soundclash link is up now people. More listen-agains, more fun stuff Radio 1 can do in the same vein:
last tune is brand new... forthcoming on "Space Traitor Vol. 2" called "Sunlight". Will be out early April.
mix is getting played this hour during the downloads show as well.
thanks man. massive ups

I need an ID... track from the J Da Flex mix on John Peels show, Ras Kwame played the session in the Dubstep Archives show, its the last track with the vocal "I seek knowledge" playing repeatedly.

Need to listen to this then....if Knowledge was dropped at any point during the 12 hours it was worth it.
Respect to anyone involved spreading the word of the true Dubstep out there.

It was in the Ras Kwame show mate, definitely worth a listen. It's basically a collection of mixes, interviews and mini-mixes over the years at Radio 1.

Was too keen on the soundclash so far, wasn't liking any of their heavy hitter tunes but when Chef and Plastician did the mix with Anti-War Dub, Request Line, Eyez VIP and all the bangers...wow. No wonder they won, it was over then.
