The two Chinese entrants in the women's singles are meeting in the (Table Tennis) final later today and from the way the two Chinese men are playing it seems just as likely that they will meet each other in their final as well.

Alot of swimming is down to technique, I've seen kids who can outswim adults before, albeit not at world record pace.

This is one of the main problems I see with the olympics. For an event which is supposed to promote peace and co-operation, it builds divisions between nations and races. If anyone does outstandingly well, everybody becomes a racist and starts accusing and staying mild to serious racist slurs.

I wouldn't say its racist, the Chinese don't exactly have a great past record when it comes to drugs in athletics, in this case its just America being bad losers

It's a bit tough to believe that's just genetics.

I'm 50/50 on this one. She's been cleared, but that was for all the drugs that we're aware of. It's just so easy to breakdown a drug and remove a tiny part of the molecule for it to be untraceable (i.e. what they do all the time with legal highs). Apparently, they keep the blood of the athletes for 8 years to be able to re-test them in the future...

As well as being a phenomenal swimmer, she's also a 16 year old girl being bullied by grown adults across the entire world. That should make her even more innocent until proven guilty.

It does seem strange too that all the doping talk has been about the Chinese girl, but nothing about the Lithuanian girl.

Racism might not be the right word but there's definitely something there.

Meh, we'll see I suppose. I guess the world will just hold off telling a teenage girl she's good enough to do what she loves for 8 years until her blood samples expire. And then nobody will mention it.

Isn't that what sport is all about? Doing things that would in any other situation be deemed unbelievable?

And so what if her team mate was busted. Does that mean Michael Johnson must've been doping an Sidney because Marion Jones was doing it too? Ridiculous.

Whether she was doping or not, you HAVE to go with innocent until proven guilty, if you don't where does that leave us? Imagine what it must be like for her if she's clean. She's done something amazing, it should be the happiest time in her life, but the entire world is casting doubt on her. It's disgusting.
