we seem to have made a habit of starting series really badly recently. Not looking good for my 5th day tickets! :(

though on TMS Blofeld keeps calling Starc "starkers" :cornlol:

I'm having to listen to TMS on headphones at work just let out a yelp of excitement at Finns 2nd wicket and got thoroughly laughed at.

I don't even care, test cricket is fucking thrilling!

A lot of wickets fell on the first day. I bet you poms were feeling a bit anxious after siddle tore through your top order.

Albeit, you seem to be back on level playing fields now.

Apologies for my outbursts, I'm very animated when it comes to the Ashes as my family is Australian. The result of the ashes is one of the most important things in our family dynamic.

Will be interesting to see what happens today, conditions seem very batsmen friendly

This is ridiculous. It's been an absolutely insane 4 and a bit sessions of cricket.

Jeez

That was mental, I feel really sorry for young Agar, he deserved the 100 there. Surprised Hughes managed to hang around that long, credit where it's due.

England need to bat properly this time, conditions are perfect so there should be no excuses.

You feel there's no chance of this match ending in a draw, mental strength is going to count for a lot here.

We need to see out the first hour or so without losing anything, if we do that I can see England getting settled and batting for a day and a half.

still can't get over Agar's innings. Madness.

Interesting that the benefit of the doubt went went with Agar on his stumping decision and away from Trott with the lack of hotspot. Leniency for the lower order???

I swear we didn't mean to.
We don't even know where this kid came from.
He's walked into camp & hypnotized Boof into letting him play.
And I suspect he's also mesmerized the rest of the planet into believing he scored 98.
Is he a daemon or is he a god?

match still on a knife edge- I Ron sloowly edging England into a good position, but one wicket and it could all go australia's way again.

I loved how he just played it off like nothing had happened. Disgraceful behaviour really but it's the Ashes so....

If we lose it from this point now i'd be massively surprised. That said, it wont be the strangest thing to have happened in this test.

Aw man, I *love* Test cricket, the shorter forms of the game just don't compare.
