Its all good. I like them a lot cause darker colors seem to pop a bit more on them, as opposed to jeans. And I like to usually rock selvedge/really dark denim with lighter colors generally. Not always though just a tendency I have.

same shoe, different colour and material - which one? wouldn't lace the maroon ones up like that either, but would for the greys.
not too sure about the maroon ones tbh, colour in picture varies from nice to hideousm pic is taken from the Vans official site so may be truthful.
