Starting to get a bit written over the past wee while. I've read loads of research - just most of it has either been shite or totally irrelevantNilsFG wrote:I've written like 100 today and read 1 (one) paperLiam92 wrote:Sat in the library for 2 hours now and wrote 0 words

Nah, not yet. I've just always done assignments in the library even when I was doing my undergrad course. If I try to do it at home, I'm far too easily distracted - whenever I try I end up doing nothing - I don't even have the motivation to read anything when I'm at home.southstar wrote:Are you doing dissertation? lol yeahLiam92 wrote:^yeah, when I was doing my degree, I'd usually just batter stuff out in a few days before it was due and get an alright mark. I don't think they'll be quite as forgiving on my masters unfortunately
Do most students not live on campus?NilsFG wrote:I work better in the uni library too. I get too easily distracted at home. Problem is, travelling to my campus and back takes like 2-3 hours with public transport. I hate public transport and I hate losing so much time to it. Plus I will still get distracted and lose more time. Going by car to uni and back is a lot faster but I don't have my drivers license yet and I probably won't get one in the next 6 months. Could rent a student flat close to uni but we don't have money for that.
I could also do what other people do with my problem: go to a doctor, claim to suffer from ADD/concentration problems and score some magic focusy focus pills.
Not really no, student housing doesn't exist in Belgium as in the UK or US. Our universities are pretty small compared to the ones in other countries. Most universities make some rooms/flats available to students for rent, but not a lot really. So most students that do move for their studies rent something in the city the campus is located in. Lots of people buy apartment buildings or flats in cities with universities in to rent to students. Also the whole roommates thing doesn't really happen here.ehbrums1 wrote:Do most students not live on campus?NilsFG wrote:I work better in the uni library too. I get too easily distracted at home.
