I don't see how being addicted to alcohol is different to being addicted to nicotine, or any other drug. But yeah I can't get this red one to fit on the green one properly

If you're asking why drinking addiction is treated differently from smoking, because the effects are immediate and more apparent. Being an alcoholic can ruin your own life as well as others, with smoking you can carry on perfectly happily until the day you get lung cancer in your 60s

Addiction is addiction to a large extent, but with substances there are differences. While long term nicotine addicts may develop heart, vascular, and lung problems which likely will be terminal, they can maintain their lives, they can hold down jobs, raise kids, etc., whereas alcoholics often have substantially shortened lifespans, with permanent liver and brain damage, they often cannot maintain their lives, they lose their jobs, their possessions, their kids, they often engage in dangerous or deadly behavior which impacts other people.

A smoker is one who smokes, an alcoholic is one who has intense cravings for alcohol. Should there be a term for someone addicted to nicotine... you are free to invent one.

So why don't ex junkies call themselves junkies? That is as destructive as alcohol, right?

An alcoholic will always be an alcoholic cos they can never be fully "cured". Just the same as a drug addict is generally always referred to as a "recovering addict" or an "ex-addict". Alcohol & drug addiction is a chronic disease and there is more and more evidence coming to light that proves this fact.

Yeah, you'll notice a lot of junkies still call themselves junkies after they've stopped. H is probably worse than alcohol in this regard.

I think being addicted to certain drugs for shortish periods of times is one of the best things to happen to me tbh, in a weird way, in the long run, booze included.

@harkat i know people that have lots of plates from the london gang. they said just email them mainly or friend them on fb and if you don't come off too thirsty and they see you as an actual 'asset' (ie you have listeners that will increase their exposure) and they trust you not to distribute it, then they'll send you shit.

I can still never tell whether terpit is master baiting.
