For those who choose to hate: The idea of the article is to get people who know little to nothing about this music to give it a chance.

Last nite we had a packed house at Grime City in S.F. (we do dubstep+grime) and a whole bunch of new people showed up to check it out that otherwise wouldn't have known. It's called pushing the music and the scene and I fail to see why anyone would hate on that.

No offense, of course...

As a big time fan of grime , I don't see anywhere in the article that there is fake information. Like it or not, grime hasn't caught on nearly as much as dubstep has in the U.S. in a short period of time. Part of that is because there is a glut of mc's who can't lay off the gun talk and part is just because most Americans don't want to hear any non-American rappers.

I personally still play grime and won't come close to saying it is dead, but the scene stateside is primarily dubstep. And also, at the end of the article, it is stated as clear as day that grime, garage, and drum + bass are still there, but just not in the media spotlite right now.

The article was written for a S.F. Bay Area audience and reflects our local scene. If you don't like it, fine. Nobody forced you to read it.

Also, English is a cool language.

That's it for me.

in what way is gun talk proscriptive for appealing to an american audience?!? lmao!

maybe in certain parts of the bay, to be fair ;)

I think there's quite a bit of bum talk in the bay area.

What happened to him? Has he been kicked off due to over and unnecesisary aggressive posts. Could it be any thing to do with Ekaj feeling he had to leave the forum because of what happened with J J?

What's that? Is that an impromptu post-Grime-City, pre-Xmas dubstep party I smell?
