should I be considered Judas? I started off with trackers as that was the only music software I had on my Amiga, the bug bit when I was in my teens. I even had a sampler that would plug in the parallel port, and I used to sample Frank Zappa tunes!

I've now moved onto Reason and Logic, but I still have a soft spot for trackers... Renoise has loads of extras compared to OctaMED tho!

renoise is like the old school trackers (Scream Tracker, Fast Tracker, Impulse Tracker) on steroids and lsd.

checkout Bogdan Raczynski lol

I always wondered how you could work with a skin like that since checking your myspace out for the first time. Isn't it really uneasy on the eyes, looking into a white screen?

LOL never noticed.

But yeah, I sat down with the demo last night...and I tried to mess with it. I think having drunk a fair amount of whiskey, I was unable to do anything with it. But I'ma try today sober...

I just loaded the demo tunes and tried to see what was going on....fiddle with this, tweak that nob.

TBH I use the default black/orange/gray skin. I just wanted something with colors that popped for the background.

If I wasn't concerned about unauthorized remixes, I'd put up a partial project file - when I've showed people the program in the past, familiarity has really helped.

Even though I am, there's no damn way in hell that I can convince you that I'm trustworthy, so I'm not gonna waste your time, but if you're ever in the mood to pass anyone a project, could you please keep me in mind? I like your stuff a lot and I would be interested to see how you work with Renoise.

Fair enough. The default Renoise skin is the prettiest. o.o

i've used reason, cubase, logic, and live...

renoise is by far the easiest for my workflow and i'm 100% about it, unless i'm working with someone who is in a different DAW. it does look insane if you are not familiar with hex... though, it's actually super simple and can do anything... resampling is really easy, and it always sounds super clean.

I started with ejay, back in the day when all you had to do was drag a few blocks to make a sick tune.
