I recently got in my 3rd car-totalling accident. My insurance, should I choose to continue driving, would now be $7000-8000 a year..too much! I've decided instead that I'm going to use the money from the total-loss claims check for music...it's the only thing that really matters to me at the end of the day

So no it's not too good to be true. We have to really go big with this event, though. I really want to get the sponsors from Ableton and/or NI. Is "Joose" or "Four" available in UK? It's an alcoholic energy drink beverage..I love it..it makes me party hard. If we can, we should try to get their sponsor as well. Sure beats getting sponsored by, say, Monster, lol.

Also we should get at least one big name on the bill. I like the idea of having many fresh artists on the bill, with one (or more if possible) BIG artist as "bait" so that people come and wind up getting exposed to a ton of new music as well.

oo that sounds exllent mate, not the car accident bit of course tho ,yeh i here what your saying man if you spending big $$$ it needs to be big simple as.. Yeh i think we were going to send emails out to the sponsors but we need like a small time table first so we can show them a rough idea of are plan, but everyone has run away now when it has came to the planing

Yeh, one or max two big artist not too many because it was really like meant to be are forum gartering and not a normal nite out to see the big artist, but using them as "bait" will bring in more peeps for us so at the end of the day it will be a good thing for both party's, but the it would be a shame if we attracted the wrong people, because on the day i would not want everyone going like "oo ooo look theres Pinch or the other ect etc and running over to them 24/7 going mad over them" you here what am saying?

Nah Nitz by Big Artists I mean, maybe someone like Reso/Skream/Benga/Emelkay is a headliner and then under them someone like The Joker or The Widdler.

Of course there's the part where someone has to contact their agent (most of them are w/ Surefire Agency) and discuss the booking. The 2g alone might be what covers one of the headliners...they might even ask for more...who knows.

Yeah I'll definitely throw down the money, but of course the sponsors have to agree to sponsor it. And it has to be london. I don't like talking money like this out in the open though, so please send me a private message.

This is more than a prosperous idea. And tbh wether its in bangla bluddi desh. It's an event made for the people on this forum. So instead of knocking the location lets just go with the initial idea of;

It's not about prosper or profit, it's about what the dubstep forum deserves as a representation, and tbh, more people, *forum members* have had complaints and requests for it to be in london...so if it's for the forum...then so be it. If I was doing this in America, why would I throw it in Boston MA or Providence RI when I could throw it in NYC? Sure..they're good college cities...but come on...NYC. It's no contest .

We deserve a phat party. So we should have one.

This forum represents the best half of the Dubstep community. So we should throw the best party...it's obvious. People should leave thinking "damn, those cats know wtf is up."

tbh tho, i think leeds would be a good place for this, i lived there for 6 months last year and that city is splitting at the seams with nights like this... Leeds west african center would be perfect imho


If two nights is out of the question maybe there should be a vote to find where more people are? if the majority of people intrested are in the south it would be illlogical to hold the night in the north?


Either way, this sounds like a really cool idea, i'm moving back to the UK in 1 week (i'll be in the north) so if theres anything i can help with let me know

Nah i dont think its going to cost that much anyways i here what you saying, we dont want to be talking figures in pubic, but let me say one thing, your not the only one person thats putting the $$ down, we going to sort this out we cnt just depend on you and use your money, thats just bullshit everyone has to help and contribute simple as!

Nah mate i dont think that is going to work, the whole idea of this is like a big meeting/ gartering from the DSF, if you split it the you got half of DSF in one place and the other half somewhere else.

Look if people want this to be in London then you need to sort it out....

Otherwise you need to stop chatting about it if your not going to do anything about it and get behind this one...

At the moment we have a date and venue in Leeds...
