It interesting no one has said Dubpolice. Is it as they are the more commercial side of the scene? There a re some big releases from them... not my favourite but never the less...
Also not many feeling Hench? Latest Giant 12 is epic!

Skull Disco
Daphne
Planet Mu
Hyperdub
Ghostly International (for the two or so dubstep tracks they have, they should release more dubstep on their label or on Spectral Sound)
Perlon (love their minimal stuff and Shackleton's new Three EP's is friggen' amazing)

Hyperdub is most likely the favourite closely followed by DMZ/Tempa

DMZ, Hyperdub, Tempa. Not really had many tunes from other labels in rotation recently.

im loving music right now, so many good things coming from so many directions...
label wise i can genuinely say that in 2009, planet mu is in its own class, next level as a body of work this year, absolutely amazing.

Have to agree with mayor quimby on this HOTFLUSH (hf2, S.C.U.B.A. & Abacus too) by a very clear distance.
Can't believe no one has said [Naked Lunch] or Ranking Records either, every release has absolutley killed it.
obviously DMZ, Deep Medi Musik & Tectonic (kinda go without saying though)

I'd say Argon .. always pushing new sounds, keepin' the dub in dubstep and treating us with a podcast on a regular basis.
I don't like fancy labels, btw! I find them for snobs..

True actually, Ive nearly got the whole discography of them, seem to have to bag every release. Far better than dubpolice however, dubpolice has just been the same agian and agian and agian recently, although big emalkay release to be fair.

What do people think about how producers release stuff over so many different labels? Does it drive people to make consistently good music or dilute the market too much? Take Skream for instance as he has so many tunes about; does the fact that his next tune is coming out on a different imprint as the last? What difference does it make if its Deep Medi or Tempa or Disfuguered Dubz or Swamp 81 or Digital Soundboy? Does the producers jumping around take away from a labels identity or help make it stronger?

i think a good example, but obvious ofcourse, is skreams release on digital soundboy of burning up..he wasnt exactly going to release that on tempa or anything. Same with his southside dubstars releases..they lack the strengh/originality to get a release on tempa so i believe that labels always pick what they believe their lael is all about..breakthrough or whatever genre ect.

DMZ, Deep Medi, Tempa always pushing the true dubstep sound since day and I think for a label pushing new levels and new sounds it's gotta be Hessle.
