Cornwall makes BARE (that's London speak) money from leisure and tourism. We could easily support ourselves year-round from our summer tourism takings, but instead we basically have our money robbed by the English government who rarely put it back into our local economy sensibly.
A year or two ago (probably still happening in fact) the government spent more on advertising Cornwall as a holiday destination for up cuntry and foreign people, than they did on building affordable housing for local people. Most young Cornish people have to move away because a £150,000 mortage on some of the lowest wages in the country just ain't happening. Tell me that isn't fucked up.

Truth is there's bugger-all left of our Cornish identity after all these years of having it watered down and losing all our local industry, forcing many to move away, but we were once BADMAN, and you'll find true Cornish patriotism runs much deeper than that of the English!

The fine Cornish town of Camborne went from super-super-super-rich mining town to the home of sexual-manure-fetishes in a relatively short space of time.

The Cornish coastlines are some of the most beautiful parts of Great Britain (at least we can agree you're part of that!) ... but for a guy moving to one of the biggest cities in the world from rural Australia, I'm not quite sure how relevant the comparison was!

Man, I've been thinking about moving to London for ages, but haven't done so because I don't know anyone there, and big city life can be fucking lonely and cruel if you don't know anyone. Tell us how it goes, and best of luck, mate!

Well, whatever. I live in Camden - Euston to be exact - and think it's the mutt's nuts. Im a brisk stroll away from everything. There's 3 good dubstep nights that are a 10 minute walk away, and the rest are in Old Street - a bus ride away. The one's close are SOME at The Den on Tottenham Court Road and RISE at the Purple Turtle in Camden town. Actually, also got Why Not? at SCALA on King's Cross not too far away. Then you've got FWD every Sunday (paused for now though) at Plastic People on Old Street, and then look around for other places, because dub nights are ALWAYS on. Fabric always plays dub on a Friday, especially in Room 3 and apart from that just look around. Once you go to these you'll get dub packs given to you outside. It'll just be 100 leaflets all for dubstep nights. Then you're sorted.

What's the general age group of the ninja meetings? Would an 18 year old scamp such as myself be welcomed?

I moved to London in September, it can be hard work but it's worth it, in my experience it is the best city in the world, but as people have said, it can be lonely unless you make effort to meet people. No one gives a shit about you, but I love that, I went to a McDonalds in the East End my pyjamas with my girlfriend at 1pm and no one even took a second-glance.

In the last year I've been to New York, Barcelona, Ho Chi Minh City, Bankok, Kuala Lumpur, Paris, Hamburg and Berlin. London to me is better than all of them. Paris, Hamburg and Berlin I visited whilst I lived here. I always love coming back. London has so much energy. So much shit going on every night if you go out and find it. London is 20 cities in one.

Public transport in London is fairly comprehensive. You can get almost to anywhere from anywhere in one or two changes. The underground can be pretty brutal, especially the Central line during the summer, expect 40 C heat and to get closer to a man you don't know than you ever expected.

Get an Oyster card straight away for traveling. Anyone can get one, £3 and you can sell it back at any Underground station for £3 if you ever leave the UK. It will allow you to travel for over 50% of the normal price. Everyone has an Oyster. Buses are £1 with an Oyster and within Central london you're capped at £5 something so you never get more than that taken off.

There are shit loads of night buses everywhere, esp to Camden.

Fabric has a ridiculously good sound-system and ridiculously good line-ups.

If you ever want to hang or need a tour-guide, hit me up.

I think the youngest of the regulars is probably Rats... think he's 20ish, Grandad of the group is kay I think with Faust and myself shortly behind (we're both 27). We've all pretty much got ridiculous babyfaces though - helps with the sister fucking. ch3, tr0tsky and The Acid Never Lies fit somewhere inbetween.

MUCH appreciated dude, i'm gonna be trying to get out to as many dub nights as possible when i get there, best way to make friends i guess apart from working. nice to know there's some close clubs that play dubstep!
