I must say for the money you pay for Reaper, you get ALOT of bang for your buck! This essentially will be my master daw for the foreseeable future.
for those who are wanting to Leave Reason 4. heres a great tip
...use rewire! and use VST' effects in Reaper affecting the sound of Reasons synths. Might give it a new lease on life for you.
Now that I got a New Allen and Heath ZED R16, i plan to mix all my tracks out of the box with real hardware effects and compressors. I can only imagine how much of a sound improvement its going to be vs doing it all in the box.

When we reason users are finally freed from the 3 synths in reason, why would you ever want to rewire them?!

i love reason, even more now i got record. From time to time is use some vst synths in reaper and just bounce to audio. Now i just can finally use that in record without using a sampler
