I don't think it's the glowsticks themselves, but the ego-boost and hey-look-at-me-im-an-asshole-boost they cause with some people.

The only time I've seen people looking like that is at bangface.

Yeah, probably... she was at Bangface last month, would be surprised if I didn't introduce you all, but then memories are a bit hazy to say the least.

Raves died in 1994 with the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act of 1994 (funnily enough), pip squeak. Everything else is just pretend raves.
