I dont think enough people realize we made this.

Bookmark it, considering it wont get stickied.

Also, once you visit the link, if you click the little google icon that appears next to the url in the url field of your browser, and drag it over to where your browsers search is, it will add it too the list in the dropdown. relevant to i.e. and firefox, idk, i dont use chrome.

Had it bookmarked for yonks use it before I ever start a new thread!

Excuse me for being dumb, but what is this?

A search engine that will search this site + google at the same time? is it any different to me going to google.com and adding 'dubstepforum' at the end of my criteria?

You dont search the google "site", it searches "sites" for you.


What this does is index the whole website, every thread, so you can use it to search instead of using the function this website already has.

its the same as entering "site:dubstepforum.com SEARCH QUERY HERE" into google, but with this custom engine, it already knows whats on the site before you even searched.

I just tried the old search function, "ham vst"...

While DSF-CSE gave 100 results in under half a second.

EDIT: Would love to see some stats on this thing, get em' out basic.

unfortunately last time i tried to do an advanced/production specific engine with this, it didn't work, because the subforums aren't indexed regularly and their real urls are hidden. if someone took this info to dubway (i think i tried) we'd have a solid search function

If you add production to your queries, it picks up on production being listed at the top (Board index < Dubstep < Production) right above user cp.



Its not as nice as having it in url, but it specifies a bit.

And bazz, Ill publish the current statistics on it as soon as I get back to my house... Seems Ive forgotten the password for my email ... its saved there though.

Google's search algorithms are far more powerful than the one included as part of DSF's bbs system.
