Oh yes!!! Loving the new version as well, drums fit & sit where they should go, pattern-wise and gain structure-wise. Could you give us any tips on that? How do you lay that out? Did you find any guidelines you keep in mind while doing every tune or initialize a new one each time you start a tune? Just curious, since these three tunes have got _that_ rich warm sound !!
Big up each'n'every!!!

Cheers man, glad you're digging these versions.

All I can say about dub is that it for me it tends to start with a bass line and that will lend itself to various rhythms. Obviously, when you do versions like this there is no need to remake the tune every time - once you are happy with the tune overall you just do a 'save as' and then rearrange the drum patterns and other elements to make it suitably varied whilst retaining the 'essence' of the original version. As for gains on drums and how you lay them out, you need to know what frequencies ought to go where, and to achieve a dynamic between all the drum sounds in order that it doesn't get messy! The drums in these tunes are all programmed to sound as live as possible so you need to understand drum technique/be a drummer to figure that out ;)

In terms of guidelines, I tend to think that there is always the macro and micro elements of every tune to consider: how you want a tune to sound as a whole, it's vibe, energy/intensity, complexity or simplicity. And then you need to consider the details - how best to make all the elements fit overall, how to make sounds fit together harmoniously and have the impact of one sound and not a collection of cluttered sounds. These are all personal aesthetic judgments that you must learn to make based on what you like, and what you think makes a tune sound good or stand out. Obviously, if you want a tune to be sound simple yet immense, then you'll find that actually a great deal of complexity is involved to achieve what can only be described as illusory simplicity. A simple tune that lacks that degree of complexity in the details might end up sounding dull or weak...

Personally, a lot of thought and feeling goes into these tunes!
