Nice one Deadly, will amazon these now for sure

raw has from philosphy to fiction so depending on your mood he had loads before he died
finnegan's wake i'm still trying to tackle and on like 5th read of it
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finnegans_Wake
house of leaves is a great mindfuck book you can waste loads of times trying to figure out and analyzing it
i have like 3 copies of it one i highlighted and made notes in, new edition along with the diary that goes with it and my original untouched one heh
I've added 4 Leary books to my basket because of the descriptions
Hehe I already googled Finnegan's Wake, sounds like my sort of thing
Haha nice man, probably a slightly different topic, but I also like movies that have the same effect... Such as; Pan's Labyrinth, Donnie Darko, Shutter Island etc

all in my collection. shutter island i downloaded have yet to watch. i'm a sucker for anything that makes me think. the brain is the best muscle to work out.
based on those movies peep primer, memento, a tale of two sisters, the island (yea kinda cheesy but i love it), the orphanage, [rec], jacob's ladder (love sampling that to depth and imo why silent hill was created), yojimbo, and 7 samurai for starters

Dude! I'm going to have no money left the rate you're going. Shutter Island is REALLY good, I really enjoyed that one, saw it at the cinema!
I have The Orphanage, that's an AWESOME film! The twists are unreal! Done a little bit of sampling on this one

Unrecognisable though I'd say.
But I haven't seem any of the others you just recommended (bar Silent Hill, which I actually thought was a decent movie!) So I will getting them all

the deadly habit with some big recommendations in this thread. i remember reading raw years ago when i was a teen and trying at all costs to rip holes into my fabric of reality. wasn't very hard. along with raw and leary i'd recommend terence mckenna, as well as "the invisibles" or "the filth" by grant morrisson.

ahahah. how long were you on the shitter that morning to find this? I heard on the Dr Oz show that it is very bad for your colon to sit on the toilet seat for a while. I recommend not shitting for so long you know.. gravity and whatnot you might be shitting your colon out someday.

Firstly - Not long.... I read 'Readers Digest' on the shitter, then turn the page over as I go... So eventually I get through the whole magazine.
Secondly - I have read similar articles, but have also read many contradictory articles arguing that you should sit there until you feel completely satisfied that you're finished.

overrated. cool, but overrated.
Concentration is one of the most important things to achieve while producing. Especially with music producing cause you have so much options and you can go 100 different ways any time you are looking for a certain sound. But when you are in "the zone" its like there is something in your brain that knows what do do and what things to change.

thanks man. i read it and i concentrated through the entire thing! although i did experience some auditory distractions and i had to tell myself to "stop!"
also, before this i just read a 12 page article and wrote a small paper on it, so id say my attention span is decent but it does take effort for me to concentrate unless im totally interested and i do let myself get distracted with the internet/phone.
