when my DJing gets better, if anyone wants me to play anywhere...it will be brent. if i buy some hardware and learn some software to produce with...it will be brent. it's different enough that i'm not going to think of any other name.

Currently using GLMTC, derived from Gillmatic, which came from years back when I was more into punk hardcore n hip hop n discovered nas' illmatic. Slapped a g in front since my last name is Gilbert, then I was just usin it on the net really, mates started callin me it. Not really keen to use it when/if i play out or release tunes. Was thinkng of 'ambiguous' as I like the idea of my music been interpreted in more than one way by different people. But I don't think I've got to worry too much about it at the moment!

Local kids with similar interests twisted it into Basic A. , and quite liked way it looks online.

To this day, I can probably find you quite a few people, who dont realize that Basic isnt my name.

Couldn't think of one for ages until i came up with "Skwan". Me and my mate were chilling by the river with a zoot when a swan flew past and i went t say "look at that swan" but slurred ma word and said skwan instead of swan. Decided to ride with it....the name that is, not the swan.

Watoo is my middle name. I'm named after Wattoo Wattoo Superbird a french cartoon from years ago. My older brother used to watch it and on the day I was born (I was born at home) he burst into the room just after my mother had given birth and proclaimed "mum, mum, Wattoo's on!" as it was just starting on television. The name stuck (though mispelled on my birth certificate).

I put off choosing a name for ages. It wasn't until on my way to my first radio show when I had to go with a name. A mate who I was getting a lift off came up with empathy but drop the e as my initials are MP. Pretty lame I know and still cringe when I say it lol but hey, its a name.

before i got into production i used to dj under a different name
it was a nickname i got from school but when i got into production i did not want to go by my old nick name and dj name
and could not really think of a new one so i just went by my real name but now sometime i wish i went for more of a evil dark name
but i guess its still not late to change it for production name..
the shit thing since i been wanting to get gigs as Thierry Le Dj every time i get booked they still booked as my other dj name and get annoying when i ask them if they could put me on as this name and sometime's flyer's are already done and they dont want to fix it.

damn i've been thru afew. fuzz, kruzz, rinzo, jahsin, were tagging alias's back in the day. jahsin turned into jahsin prophit (also jahsinchu) for my hip hop tracks soon after. then that got shortened & the bros call me jahz. brutal native is what afew of us boys call eachother. hanging with the indy kind of crowd i always told them my name was fondle mcLickinpuss. When i started producing acid inspired shit i got on this Soulshine buzz.. so that turned into Soulshynchyld. but then lately i decided it was to hippie for dubstep.... so i checked out names of moons of planets & they suckd, so i looked at stars & the most catchy one was Sirius(the brightest star). its short & sweet, I did an online check & it seems no1 else had it. so thats me!!chea

Unfortunatly our name is just an acronym of Alex & Rob. It is also quite ironic as we are both skinny shits......and not from L.A.

I was round a mates and he was trying to teach me his Ableton Live DJ set up and, because I'm a musical retard, I didn't know what a bit crusher was so I called it a dutty switch. The name stuck from there. It wasn't even a switch, it was assigned to a pot on his Akai MPD32.
