Pure_Phase_White_Snare.wav - 0.11MB

sounds especially good when layered with a heavily compressed kick...and use a transient designer/envelope for more tail or snappyness.
Thanks man! :D

This.

I always assume people who listen to this are not into music. They are the type of people if you asked what music do you like would respond with "I like everything"

Horrid stuff. s for the snare, you could pick 3 or 4 random drum hits and put them thru a bus with compressors and distortion etc etc

zzzzzzz
your clueless man
what is the point of this post?
 Serox stirring up controversy once again!!

ive noticed a direct correlation between those people who whine about "filth" and those whos favorite albums are from the boy-loving backstreet boys.
coincidence? i think not

The Backstreet Boys and filth are the same thing. Your statement is useless.

jesus some of you are proper fucking snobs - i thought i was bad.

i dont see how you cant understand pure screwface aggy makes you wanna smash stuff music. fair enough if you dont like it but to write it off as noise because you dont understand it is bollocks. if you want to hear actual noise check out venetian snares vs speedranch - making orange things. now that i cant get into.

An interesting alternative to a snare, you should hear the song Amok by Fanu.

Im still trying to figure out how he did it.
to me the break in AMOK sounds like he is recreating the infamous 'circles' break that is used in Adam F - Circles , the break originates from some old funk record not sure what its called though ????

and it seems he is slightly 'off setting' some of the claps so they are not quantized exactly on point to give it that 'live' feel and maybe even panned more to the left or right....

can't be that hard , can it ????

its harder than it seems. You would have to directly try to recreate it to appreciate it. its done well and clean

Youre not lying about snobs. The funny part is most of them have zero right to be snobs . Then again you cant talk about "feel" in music with someone that makes music based on just "sounds".

Venetian Snare is genius though imo.

^^

dont get me wrong i do quite like some venetian snares (even though i do think hes overrated), but when hes on a more 'musical' tip. theres only so much gabber kicks and distortion i can put up with though. although saying that i do think squarepusher - steinbolt is incredible, but then everything squarepusher touches is incredible really.
